We are going to get off the boat as early as possible, take a cab to Comfort Suites for our passes to Atlantis.
I don't have any interest in getting sandwiches from the ship to bring w/us. I don't want anything too fancy, or anything that would waste too much time. Please tell me where you have eaten?

When we went years ago, there was a little place outside the retail shopping area. Served sandwiches, burgers, etc... Be forewarned that anything there is going to be expensive. If I recall correctly: we paid almost $20 for one sandwich to split, a snack size bag of chips and 2 bottled sodas. There are regular sit-down places that will run $15-20 and up per person.

They have a burger/hot dog place at the pool area that is expensive and serves mediocre food. But it is convenient and quick, and they only take credit/debit cards, no cash. BTW, make sure you do the entire lazy river, it is so much fun!!!!! It has a couple areas that you actually go up on a conveyor while still in your tube.

But note that not all of the "lazy river" is "lazy" -- it has rapids !! And waves that will wash over you and knock off anything not firmly attached (think sunglasses, glasses, hats). Be prepared for that, and then have fun !!

OP - we did the atlantis aquaventure excursion our first cruise. Disney gives meal vouchers for it that can be uased at any one of several QS-type places in the aquaventure area. We ended up at the burger place, but there is chicken and other options, too. Some of it looked pretty good. Prices were expensive but not the worst I have seen when traveling.

Whichever of the QS-type places is closest to where you are in the water park area. It's a really huge area. And I'm not sure there is enough difference between any of the take-out/counter service restaurants to make it worth walking to one any distance from where you already are.

We ate at that little fast food place by the pool. The portions were huge, we split a couple meals and we enjoyed it!
