I have been to every World Showcase Restaurant except:

Nine Dragons
Marrakesh
Rose and Crown
Teppanyaki

I know that these are probably favorites to some and dislikes to others, but what should I expect from each. I'll be in WDW for five days in Dec. and will probably dine at one of these (just to try somthing new). Thanks

Marrakesh is actually one of my favorites. I think what I like is called brewat rolls, which are like minced-meat filled pastries covered with cinammon. For us, it is something different. We haven't gone to the other restaurants you've listed, either because we can get a lot of Chinese and Japanese where we live. We are, however, also thinking of going to the Rose and Crown for the pub atmosphere, which we cant always get, plus some good fish 'n chips!

We absolutely LOVE The Rose and Crown!::yes::

The Cm's there are always gracious and helpful. I like the atmosphere and you can sit inside or outside. You might want to consider a late PS and ask to be seated outside - great for Illuminations. :hyper:

My DH and I had always skipped Nine Dragons because we can get Chinese food at home for way cheaper and we just assumed it wasn't any better than that.

We were so wrong!!

We finally tried it this year and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was so polite and prompt, and the food was excellent. Way better than what I'm used to! We shared the Nine Dragons Sampler for Two with the honey sesame chicken. Everything was delicious and we were stuffed when we left. It really felt like a bargain for all the great food (you also get spring rolls, soup, rice, ice cream, fortune cookies, tea).

I would definitely recommend it. The Rose & Crown is my absolute favorite as well!

LOVE Marrakesh, one of my faves. Great food, good service, beautiful relaxing quiet atmosphere, never crowded and loud, and belly dancer and band to entertain - what more could you ask for!? =)

We always go to Marrakesh and Rose and Crown at least once each trip and have been doing this for years and years. I do have to say that dd15 had a less than stellar experience this past June at Marrakesh. (Note: dd15 is very pretty and looks older than her actual age). Our waiter was in his late 30's and would not take his eyes off my daughter. It freaked her out. It was rude to the point of me having to say something and requesting another server. But, the first guy kept staring at her from the waiters station. Her food was cold but she refused to say anything this time because she just wanted to leave. Our whole experience was rather disappointing, and we have place this facility "on probation" and see what happens next time.

Rose and Crown! What can I say? This is the type of food that we really enjoy (we've only had the fish/chips one time) and we have always had excellent service, great food and keep returning for more!

We like Mexico and Italy best. As a native of the UK I would like to say the food in the Rose and crown is truly awful and although many Americans seem to be impressed by the fish and chips, they aren't anything like the real British thing. We also ate at Tempura Kiku this year after I was desperate to try it, it was ok and Im glad we tried it but I dont think Id go back.

My DH and I love Marrakesh and Rose and Crown and eat there when we are Epcot. We have never bothered with Nine Dragons or Teppanyaki because we can good Chinese and Japanese food where we live. Having said that, we are going in January and will be eating at Nine Dragons because our DD (2 years old) is adopted from China and we want her to have a meal or two of food that she likes and remembers as comfort food (rice and noodles).

Teppanyaki is our favorite restaurant in Epcot. ::MickeyMo

we love nine dragons... my kids were sorely disappointed when we walked past it to go to psb instead!!! (they survived! LOL!)
