I have been to Disney MANY times, but I am currently planning a trip for a friend and her family. And when I say planning I mean planning......she doesn't want to do anything except show up so I'm making pretty much every decision. That's a whole different story though. lol Anyway, they love Italian so I was going to have them eat at Italy in world showcase, but I personally have never eaten at any of the Italy restaurants so this one is hard for me to pick. Should I book them at Via Napoli or Tutto Italia? It will be two adults and their eight year old daughter. Any advice you guys could give me would be very much appreciated.

I did not like the pizza at Via Napoli. It was soggy and wet, not sure what the hype is about this place. In 2015 i had the Chicken Parmesan and it was just ok. I've never been to Tutto Italia, but I'd go there next.

Both Via and Tutto are great choices. I personally prefer the pasta and pizza dishes at Via though. They're far tastier than Tutto in my opinion. I go there each and every trip. :) So good.

If they want pizza and pasta then Via Napoli is a good choice. If they enjoy Italian outside pizza and pasta then tutto Italia is a much better choice.
With an 8 year old, I would lean toward Via.

If they love Italian food I definitely would not schedule a meal at any Italian restaurant at WDW or I think there is a good chance they will be disappointed.

Via Napoli. We have never had a bad pizza there. It is the only place DD15 wants to eat at multiple times each trip!

If you want Pizza then Via is your choice. If you want any other type of Italian I would say Tutto.

We had lunch yesterday at a local Italian restaurant.

The salad dressing and sauces there are all outstanding. Their chicken and veal is cut (and possibly pounded) super thin. The food is simply prepared, and I can’t figure out why Disney has nowhere like it.

PLEASE: if your guest really likes GREAT Italian food? Get on the boat at the IG, and go to Il Mulino (swan). All personal opinion - avoid "park food".

The simple answer is profit margins.

It really is saying something when the best Italian (Il Mulino) and the best steak (Shula's) on property are both found in non-Disney establishments.

If you are looking for very good Italian, i would agree with Il Mulino at the Swan. Better than any other Italian we have had at WDW by far.
