Where to eat in Epcot???

Hi Everyone,
My mom and I would like a nice meal in Epcot.

We've narrowed it down to Biergarten, Garden Grill, Tempura Kiku, Teppanyaki, Rose and Crown, Le Cellier and Marrakesh.

Which is your favorite and where should we go?

We have never had a bad meal at any of the restaurants in World Showcase. Although I must admit we did not care for the food in Norway. It was probably our taste more than their food selections. I suggest you go on allearsnet.com and click on dining and menus. This way you could see if there is anything on the menus that you might like to try.

We ate lunch at the Biergarten our last trip and loved it. Very good, very filling, good variety, good desserts, and the band is very entertaining as well. Very nice inside - I loved the setting.

It depends on your tastes, really - but most of the food is great in Epcot (wish I could say the same for magic kingdom - blah)

We had the biergarten - and it was pretty good, but very meat-heavy and the apple streudel was not great. (MAJOR bummer on my part, since I LOVE apple streudel and worked in a local "german" bakery). LOTS of braised meats, sausages, etc. The cabbage was amazing, but I'd pick something else, personally.

Tempura is great - and exotic, I guess - but we eat that here often, so we skipped it. Same with Teppanyaki - just like a BeniHana or Kobe, which we have here. Rose and Crown would be good for a lunch, but I don't think I'd waste a dinner on it. Marrakesh is good - but, I'm not sure your Mom would like it, and I've heard some iffy reviews.

However, Les Cellier was DIVINE! That would be my first pick, by far! It's quiet, and cool, and the service was amazing. The dessert is to die for (Maple creme brulee), the steaks melt in your mouth, and you feel like you're really having a nice, upscale dining experience without the pretentiousness of it.

Rose & Crown is lots of fun. I always get the Fish-n-Chips, but they have a great Citrus salad, too. Have eaten both lunch and dinner there and really enjoyed it.

Le Cellier is a treat. Great service. The steakburgers are awesome, as is the cheese soup and pretzel sticks. Try one of the Canadian beers. It is cool and dark inside; nice when the weather is sticky.

The Biergarten was not to my taste, but the rest of my family loves it. I'm just not crazy about the food.

Have not eaten in Japan, but have eaten at both venues in China. The Lotus Blossom Cafe has great soup and the "usual" Chinese foods, but it's a nice little place for a quick, filling bite. Nine Dragons is overpriced, IMHO, but really lovely. Nothing you can't find at home.

I haven't eaten in Norway in awhile. I liked it when I did because I love seafood, but the menu has undergone numerous changes since then.

The Garden Grill has just changed, too, so I can't comment on the menu.

I would prefer Rose & Crown...mainly for the atmosphere....while Le Cellier has good food...it's atmosphere is not as charming as Rose & Crown...I really like eating at the "foreign" countries (no offense, Canada...I consider you a sibling country) because it gives me the feeling that I've really stepped into a country an ocean away. The servers in England (the accent just gets me) have always been incredibly friendly and the food has never disappointed. There just aren't any English restaurants around where I live but there are Benihana's, Mexican, and Chinese....so that's why I'd pick Rose & Crown.

Just returned from a late June visit, and I'd suggest the Beirgarten. They've changed it to a buffet, so you can sample everything, again and again. The sauerbraten is great and the show if fun.
It's been more than a decade, but on our previous trip, we really loved Marrakesh. The entire Morrocan pavillion is absolutely beautiful, and it's just like being in Marrakesh. The resaurant is beautiful. Authenically tiled moorish architecture and the food (then) was terrific. Especially good if you're without kids and don't have to worry about fussy tastes.
I would not recommend Garden Grill. The fun thing about the Grill should be that it revolves and you see into one of the rides, but it takes so long to move that you may not see the whole display unless you get up and walk around. Food was fine, but not comparable to the others.

LeCellier or Marrakesh. LeCellier is one of my favorite places to eat at WDW and Marrakesh is very good food and definitely a different dining experience.

Biergarten is also very good, but don't plan on eating another meal the rest of the day as you'll be stuffed!

Marrakesh was a HUGE hit with my entire family during our May visit. Dd 2.5 and ds almsot 5 yo really enjoyed all the attention they received and the music/belly dancer. The rest of us LOVED the food. In fact, my almost 13 you put Marrakesh at the top of his "must do" list for October!!

My vote goes to Le Cellier. We had such great food and service there. Our server was the greatest we had in all of the world. She actually called over to France and found out what time Belle would be there for my daughter and told her that Belle was waiting for. That made my daughter's trip. That is where she wants to go for her birthday dinner.

And the cheese soup is to die for.

We have eaten at Biergarten, Rose & Crown, Le Cellier and Marrakesh. My fav is Marrakesh. My husbands fav is Biergarten. We both loved Le Cellier. We both hated Rose & Crown.

You can't go wrong with any of those choices in my book!! If it were me, and it was just my mother and myself, I'd want somewhere quiet and relaxing where we could enjoy a beer, the view, and quiet conversation. Le Cellier would be my choice with my mother.

Are you going for lunch or dinner?
The biergarten is fun and tasty, but you're gonna want time to walk it off after lunch!
Even though Japanese steakhouse style food is everywhere; it feels more authentic and tastes a little better in Epcot. With a 7:30 seating, you can head out just in time to catch Illuminations.
The Rose and Crown veranda tables offer a fabulous view of Illuminations; with a 7:45 or 8:00 seating, the lights go down as you enjoy your after dinner coffee.
I must admit that Marrakesh is one of my personal favorites: the menu offers something for both adventurous and finicky tastes, the dining room is beautiful, and the staff are gracious and warm. Besides, how often do you get to see your brother dance with a belly dancer in front of a room full of strangers?!

We have eaten at several on your list....my favorite is LeCellier - we ate lunch there the last trip and it was great! Have also eaten dinner which was excellent, as well. My family enjoys Teppanyaki and we eat there every trip, but our last two visits were disappointing (chef wasn't all that great, they have changed the menu and lunch is no longer a cost saver)....still good overall, though. Used to like the Garden Grill (only Character meal on your list), but the menu has changed since our last visit, so can't comment any longer.
If the choice was mine - Le Cellier for a late lunch, so that I could stop by France for some dessert before Illuminations and not feel guillty about it!
