We will be there for 4 days...i do have reservations for goofy's kitchen for dinner and also for ariel's grott (dinner also). We plan on eating b-fast in our hotel room so we can get straight to the parks! We have never been to dl...any places we should not miss for lunch or our other 2 dinners? It will be me, my dh, my ds6 and my dd4! Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

When we go, we like to eat at Cafe Orleans (love the Monte Cristo sandwich), Wine Country Trattoria (located at DCA) and Carnation Cafe (loaded baked potato soup) for table service.

For counter service we like the chicken fusilli at Pizza Port. We also like Rancho Del Zocalo, my favorite there is the Hacienda salad...these two places are especially good for splitting meals IMO, very large portions.

We absolutely loved Cafe Orleans and Carnation Cafe, both for lunch. My 4 kiddos enjoyed the food and the pirate hats at Cafe Orleans. Desserts were magnificent! And you can't wrong with salads or sandwiches at the Carnation Cafe. They also have a peanut butter palatte for the kids to create their own PB sandwich with various toppings. Have fun!

In California Adventrue try Taste Pilot's Grill! They have burgers, chicken sandwiches and ribs. They have a very nice toppings bar, which I use to make myself a salad instead of having fries with my burger!!!

We also love Rancho del Zocalo. We share meals there!

I agree, Taste Pilots grill has very good food! I know I will be eating there on this next trip! Their burgers are reallllly good! Plus, they are one of the few counter services options that offer a cheeseburger for kids. My DD2 does not like anything on the toddler menu and only eats chicken if its on the bone, so this is one of the in park options that we like!

I agree with everyone here! Carnation Cafe (table service), Wine Country Trattoria (table service) and Taste Pilots Grill (counter service) are all great. River Belle Terrace is also a nice counter service place to eat. Some folks like Plaza Inn and Bengal BBQ too.

Even though it has gotten mixed reviews lately, I actually think Storytellers Cafe in the GCH is ordinarily a nice restaurant to eat in for lunch or dinner (non-character meal). Many folks rave about Steakhouse 55 in the DLH, and PCH Grill in the PPH has the GIANT "Kitchen Sink" dessert - which is 8 or 10 scopps of ice cream, tossed into a 'sink' bowl with cake, cookies, candy bars and all kinds of different toppings. It is decadence on a plate.

In DTD, I really love ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe and I do enjoy Naples, while other people love the Jazz Kitchen or House of Blues or Tortilla Jo's. But if you can stick with eating in the parks or in the DLR hotels, you are at least still 'in the magic' somewhat.

You're going to get a lot of different opinions but I would agree with the above posters! Have a GREAT time!!

I have to agree with the above but I also like Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast or lunch. Great place to people watch.

the ambiance at Hungry Bear just can't be beat. I love to go back there for lunch during the day, it is a nice quiet retreat - lots of shade too. The food is nothing stellar (standard DL faire).

I love Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD and Napa Rose in GCH for dinner. I really wish they were both in WDW too since we go there so much more often...my mouth is watering right now at the thought of eating at either one tonight since I havent be to DLR in 2 years....ahh, patience until November, patience!

My favorite is Blue Bayou, love Taste Pilots Grill, and the French Market is also yummy.
