Where to eat in DHS

I'm having a very hard time with ADR's for DHS. We really want to see Fantasmic that evening. So here's the dilema - I have an ADR at Hollywood and vine at 6:10 - does that give us enough time to get on line. Or should we do a CS for Dinner - recommendations for CS?

I also have a lunch ADR at Sci-fi @ 1:30. If we do a CS for dinner.

My DD is 6 is Sci-fi "scary" or "campy"

We ate at SciFi last week and we are not going back again...the ambience is "cool" but the food is boring. The menu had maybe 5 choices on it.

We had a great dinner at Mama Melrose's though. Great service and the food was great. DH and the Chicken Parm, DD and a spicy sausage pasta dish, DS has Penne alla Vodka and I had a chicken pipette dish in a cream sauce. Everything was great. According to DS12 the Penne all Vodka was the "best dish EVER". Our server was great the dinner was not rushed and the food came out hot.

DH said that Mama Melrose needs to be on our Must Do list from now on.

We USUALLY leave DHS and go to a surrounding restaurant (the boardwalk, or Cape May Cafe for example) Then we come back to the park and go straight to Fantasmic. We dont care for any of the restaurants at DHS to be honest. 50s Prime Time menu does not work for our family, and Hollywood & Vine characters we have no idea who they are!! (no little ones in this group!) Plus, I havent heard many good things about H&V.

We decided to try Mama Melrose and did the F! package, we HATED IT! It was the worst meal of our entire trip -- and we are by far picky. Service was rushed, our table was basically in the kitchen, and the food was NOT good! But, as youll see from the PP -- everyone opinion is different!

We do have a lunch ADR for Sci Fi in September though!

We've been to H&V before and HATED it. It was bland cafeteria food. When we eat at DHS, we always eat at Mama Melrose! Such good food and the CM's there are always nice!

We just ate at 50s Prime Time last week and LOVED it! It was fun and the food was great!
