We are arriving around noontime and do not want to go to a park that day. I want someplace good to eat dinner that night. Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare are booked solid per Disney Dining. We have a PS for breakfast at Ohanas already so really don't want that for dinner also. Any suggestions for someplace DD 2 will like.

whispering canyons at the Wilderness lodge is a great BBQ family style fun place to eat - lots going on to keep kids amused

We are thinking about eating at Beaches and Creams the first night....we might even eat ice cream for dinner! I figures it would be a fun, welcome to Disney kind of dinner.

We have also eaten at WCC on our first night and that was a lot of fun, also.

We were thinking of doing this also. We have never been here and we thought that walking the boardwalk afterwards would be a nice way to ease into our vacation. :thumbsup2

I would second Beaches n Cream. Or head to DTD and eat somewhere there like RF. Not to mention getting some shopping in.

I was originally going to suggest Concourse Steakhouse, but you said you wanted it to be somewhere that your daughter would like. I'm not sure if that would fit the bill.. not that she wouldn't like it, but more that if you're looking for something entertaining, it might not be for you. I love going there, but I go for the food.. and they don't entertain there.

It sounds like Beaches and Cream or Whispering Canyon... and I think someone mentioned RainForest Cafe.. might be more fun for your child. Otherwise you could just do a CS that night and spend some time by the pool.

Either way, it'll be great, I'm sure. Have fun!

We try to go to Boma's sometimes on non-park days. We can walk around and look at the animals before or after dinner. It's like going to a mini-zoo plus dinner. DS 2 loves it. I love the gift shop there too...

I was also going to say Rainforest. If your DD has not been to one she might just love it.

I'd say go to Rainforest Cafe at DTD and then just take a stroll and enjoy the rest of the night around there.

We're going to Spoodles. Last trip was at Planet Hollywood. I prefer to not eat dinner in one of the parks our first night there- it kind of removes the temptation of staying out too late. ;) We generally have an early morning flight (6am-ish) and we're all pretty tired at the end of the day. YMMV

We did Planet Hollywood and everyone loved it even the kids . The memorabillia is awesome and the food was great. It was a perfect first night!!

Sometimes there can be super long waits at Rainforest Cafe, so call ahead and be prepared to wait. The gift shop can get pretty crowded.

We usually head to DTD the first night too. They have a variety of offerings and we all can get what we like and then sit down and eat together. For a quick bite we like the variety at Wolfgang Puck Express http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_wpe.htm and love the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_eofs.htm

Here are some menu's from DTD:

Isn't it a PAIN to HAVE to decide where to eat? Oh those Disney decisions!!!
