I need some suggestions on where to eat at Epcot. Heres the deal, we're going to Animal Kingdom in the morning and having breakfast at Donalds, and will be at AK till around 1:00. We're thinking a late lunch or early dinner, but not sure where to go, keeping in mind that we'll probably want to sample some of the fare from the Wine & Food Festival, so we don't want anything very heavy or expensive, but would like to sit down a while take a break. We'll be staying at Epcot till after Illuminations.

You could stop at the Food Fair counter service place in The Land have a salad or whatever before grazing through the Food & Wine Festival.

If you want to eat at one of Epcot's restaurants, I'd recommend Akerhaus at Norway. It's an eat as much you like buffet, but it is very reasonably priced - particularly at lunchtimes. If you just want a counter service restaurant, then the Food Fair is probably your best bet.

If you want a sit-down but expect to eat a big breakfast and then graze at Food and Wine, I'd suggest trying Chefs de France, (ask to be seated outside if it's nice) for some truly sublime lobster bisque or a light salad. If you're adventurous, go for sushi in the lounge at Japan, overlooking World Showcase. You can order it in small amounts, just right for a light meal.

Of course, you could always cut to the chase and have 'dinner' at the Patisserie! ;)

You can try the cheese soup and the great pretzel bread at LeCelleir in Canada.

A beuatiful restaurant with lots of variety and choice is San Angel Inn in World Showcase.

The restaurant is in Mexico and has stunning scenery and is beautifully themed. We found the food delicious and the CM's were extra friendly and nice. I would make a PS quite far in advance if you choose to eat here.

Another place you could try is Chefs de France, we loved the atmosphere in this restaurant and the food was again, delicious. Chefs de France do lots of 'smaller' meals too for light afternoon snacks, and it is lovely to sit outside here.

If you want something easy and fast, not too expensive, and you like Mexican food, the outdoor counter service Mexican restaurant just across from the San Angel Inn is pretty good. The food isn't fancy, but good. The price is right. The margaritas are terrific and the best part of all is you get to sit outside and savor the excitement of Epcot. Don't try to sit down too close to Illumination time though as people camp out at the tables just to see the show. Sometimes you have to take your food elsewhere to find a spot to sit. Also, with the food festival going on, there is always a little stand nearby with great Mexican food. You can order a few items from there and a few from the counter service and have quite a little buffet. San Angel Inn is quite nice but very, very expensive for what you get. Have a great time.

Just a reminder. If you are going to the food and wine festival on the weekend be sure to have PS. We went last year and the lines for food were sooo long. we tried for Seating at WS resturants around 4PM. Nothing. We had to hoof it to YC for food. AND, I was 6 months pregnant.
