Where to eat dinner?

We are staying at the Polynesian and on our down day we plan to hang out at the resort and swim/arcade. We already have ADRs for 'Ohana on another day, but I'm trying to decide where to eat dinner. I don't think I want to drag the kids too far, so I'm considering Chef Mickey or Whispering Canyon. Which is easiest to get to?

Kona Cafe is right there in the Poly or you could take the monorail to the GF Cafe, another good choice.

(Might be hard to get CM with only three weeks to go, you never know though you might get lucky, but I wouldn't wait another minute to call if you really want that one!)

Thanks I was able to get Akershus today for MLK day so I hope not to have too much trouble if we decide to try Chef Mickey.

Although, I like the convenience factor of Kona.

Whispering Canyon is a lot of fun and the food is good too, but you will either need to get in a car or take a boat over.

I have not had the Chef Mickey's dinner, but the breakfast quality was good so I would think the dinner quality and selection would be just as good.

What about counter service at Captain Cooks at the Poly? If the weather is nice you could dine al fresco and then take in some of the sites of the resort. Depending on what time you are arriving and eating you could then go down to the beach and watch the Electric Water Pagent.

I think you should go with WCC. If you're spending the whole day at the resort, it might be nice to go someone else in the evening. WCC isn't too far but will allow you to have a nice boat ride and you can watch the EWP there after dinner as well as check out that resort before dinner.
