We ate at the ABC Commissary. Wasn't very memorable. Only advantage is that you're in the park. The best breakfast we had was at Kona Cafe at the Poly. We focused more on evening meals.

There really isn't any memorable place to eat breakfast at MGM. If you want a decent breakfast that is close to MGM, I would suggest Spoodles on the BW, or Fresh at the Dolphin. Once you are finished with your breakfast, you can just hop on the boat at the Swan/Dolphin boat dock, or the BW boat dock, for an easy and quick ride to MGM.

I agree with the other posters that you should not plan on a good breakfast at the Studios. If you want a character meal the Beach Club has one every morning in the Cape May Cafe. If you want a nice quiet place I would suggest Spoodles a few doors away from the Boardwalk Inn. Great food, especially their awesome breakfast pizza/flat bread. You can take a Disney bus from your resort to the Studios and either take the Friendship boat over to the boardwalk area or walk (maybe 15 minute walk). For more options go over to allearsnet.com and dining and menus. Select the hotels in the Epcot resort area....Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin.

thanks for the info. Maybe we will go to cape may or fresh I have never been to either.
thanks kim
