The first 4 days of our trip we will be stayin off property (renting a house with inlaws). One of the mornings my dh and inlaws will be doing the Seway tour at EPCOT. We will only have one car so myself and the kids will have to get up early and head to EPCOT with them. Where can I go with my 3 children (7,5 and 2) for breakfast (no ADR required) Any suggestions at one of the monorail resorts??

That's tough, I think most of the monorail hotels have breakfasts that require ADRs. I know that Captain Cook's at the Poly offers breakfast. It isn't a sit-down restaurant but the breakfast we had there was good (Mickey waffles, breakfast platters..). Good luck!

Each monorail resort has both a character breakfast and a TS restaurant that serves a non-character breakfast. You could call the Disney Dining line the evening before, and see if any of the following monorail resort restaurants have availability for breakfast:

1. Kona Cafe at Polynesian
2. Grand Floridian Cafe at Grand Floridian
3. The Wave at Contemporary

You have a better shot at one of those 3 having last-minute availability than the other 3 which have characters.

Your other option is a CS breakfast at a resort. I would choose Captain Cook's at Polynesian, as another poster suggested. We may end up going there for Tonga Toast on our trip. They also have the breakfast basics. Grand Floridian and Contemporary also have CS locations that serve breakfast, but I would go to Captain Cook's for CS breakfast.

Another thing you can do, since you will have one car with you, is go to the Boardwalk or the Yacht Club resort, park there and have the people in your party going on the tour in Epcot walk over and enter Epcot through the International Gateway. Then, you will be able to keep your car parked in one of those resort lots for up to 3 hours and have breakfast and look around and stuff. You could try for either Captain's Grille at Yacht Club (a la carte menu and also a buffet option) or Kouzzina at the Boardwalk (a la carte). The Boardwalk Bakery is also there for CS....they have breakfast sandwiches as well as lots of baked goods. Again, you can call the Disney Dining line the evening before to check availability. Cape May Cafe is the TS that serves breakfast at Beach Club, but it is a character breakfast so less likely to have availability than the other 2. You could then walk around the Boardwalk and go into the shops and explore the area since you can keep your car parked for up to 3 hours.

We've actually had pretty fair luck as breakfast "walk ins" at Kona and The GF Cafe. But calling ahead the night before is probably a good idea.

Not sure why you would say "no ADR required" but you and kids could be dropped off at the Yacht Club. You could have breakfast at Captain's Grille and then walk over to EPCOT international gateway. (DH and in-laws are splurging on the Segway tour, you and the kids can splurge on breakfast.) If you don't want to eat at a TS restaurant, you could get dropped off at the Boardwalk and get breakast at the bakery. Either way, walking over to EPCOT will be easy.

Your other option is to pack everyone up for the day and drop off the in-lawas and DH off at Epcot and then head pretty much anywhere you want that tickles your fancy. Since you will have a car, you can go off-site for a much more reasonably priced sit down breakfast.

I should have just said Counter Service, LOL! My brian was not functioning at the time :lmao: We have a lto of TS meals planned during our trip so when it is just myself and the kiddos (who could care less about eating) I figure I will do something quicker and cheaper. We actually gave inlaws the Segway tour as a Christmas gift. Dh and I did it 5 years ago and loved it :thumbsup2

Many people have suggested Captain Cook's at the pOly so I think we will end up there :goodvibes Thanks for the help!
