Where to eat before MVMCP?

I am trying to figure out where to eat before MVMCP. My original plan was to go to Narcoossee's, but I don't think they open until 5:00. We have hopper tickets for our entire stay, so that really doesn't bother me. But, even if we eat at 5:00, I don't think we would get back into MK until close to 7:00. I was thinking LTT too, but there are so many mixed reviews for dinner and we really would like to eat lunch there. We already have CP booked for breakfast that day as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Even with the mixed reviews we are going to LLT the night we are going to Pirate and Princess party in May- easy location and the character meal will get us in the festive mood for the party!!! CRT is also a good idea but call the morning of 180 days to get that!

Last year we tried LTT for the first time before MVMCP and we enjoyed it so much we are eating there again this year. The food is traditional Christmas fare for our family, so it just gets us in the Christmas mood and ready for the party. :santa:

Actually, Narcoossee's doesn't open till 5:30 and it took us about two hours to finish our meal, apps and dessert included. It's really somewhere to relax and enjoy your meal; you wouldn't want to rush. We did LTT before MNSSHP and really enjoyed it! Got an ADR about 4:30 and were done before 6:00. We found that Fantasyland was almost empty at that time b/c the non-partygoers were already gone and not everyone had shown up yet that had tickets. I say go with LTT if you want a TS meal before the party. We're going to MVMCP this year but I have no idea what to do about eating yet--brain block!:rotfl:

We did LTT before the party and it worked out GREAT! The food set the mood (like a traditional holiday meal) and the picture we got standing with Minnie in front of the fireplace turned out so good I used it for our Christmas card. The characters had holiday clothes on it and it was just all around a nice experience.

We're not real crazy about LTT. Its OK - the characters are good but the food just doesn't do all that much for us. We enjoy CP before any of the parties but you already have that booked. Have you thought about 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's? I think they both start dinner around 4 - we've done both of those before parties at the MK and it worked out well. After dinner you can take the monorail from the GF. We find it quicker to walk from the Contemporary than to take the monorail.

How about one of the Magic Kingdom resort restaurants? We're doing Kona before MNSSHP this year. Great food and just a quick monorail hop over to the party when we're done. :thumbsup2

We prefer eating in the park before the party at around 5:00p - 5:30p.

We weren't crazy about LTT's food and the CRT is just too expensive now.

We LOVE CP and Tony's for dinner before a party. Just depends on which we're in the mood for.

Looks like you will be there at the same time we will! Your ticker has the same amount of time left as mine!! :goodvibes This is our first MVMCP too and I can not wait!

I didn't even notice that, and usually looking at people's trip tickers in their siggy's is my favorite thing about this site. We are planning on going to MVMCP on the 11th. I can't wait!! This is our 1st time to go in December. I am keeping MVMCP a secret to the DS's just like I did MNSSHP a secret on our last trip.

Oh my goodness!!! We are going to MVMCP on the 11th too!! Great minds must think alike! This will be our first time in December as well, I have always wanted to go to do and see all of the holiday happening! :santa:

I would suggest an early dinner at LTT... The character interaction is great, the characters will be dressed in costumes, the atmosphere is fun and you can be in the park well before the party starts... Yes, the food is not fancy... But it is simple, American cooking... We like that we can ask for chicken tenders for the kids (even though it is not on the menu).... We always find something to eat and leave full... We have been there about six times and three times were before a party... It always worked out well for us...

If you do not want to eat there, then I would eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL... You can take the boat from the MK and back.... You can sit there for a lunch lunch/ early dinner...

The problem with the other resorts on the monorail is that the majority don't start seating until at least 5:00... I think that is too late....

It is nice to get into the park early for a few reasons:
1) Why wait on a long line to get in when you don't have to
2) Why fight the crowds that will be leaving the park as you are coming in
3) Between 6:00-7:00 is a great time to get on some rides because the lines are usually shorter at that time... People are coming, going and/or eating

Really they wear their regular LTT attire with a festive scarf or an apron that says "Season's Greetings", but not costumes.

if this has already been answered, but, what is the earliest ADR avaiable for LTT? How about Tony's?
Thanks.

We are hoping for CRT as well. Looks like I will be waiting in the call bank with a lot of you posters that day!!! :goodvibes

I figured that I have to be up by 5 am CST, so that I can have enough coffee in me that when they start taking ressie's that I am awake enough to function. It's a good thing that my 180 day out mark falls when the DS's are already out of school b/c I told my DH if they ahd been in school they would have skipped that day.
Also, if you know the date that you are going, you can post it on this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1442489
