Where to eat at Epcot and MGM?

We enjoyed Mama Melrose's in MGM Studios - good portion size, nice atmosphere, and everyone liked their meals. We mostly did counter service food at Epcot, and the food at the Moroccan pavillion was wonderful.

We went to epcot two weeks ago and we ate at the Coral Reef Restaurant, and we did not like it! It was a beautiful place to eat, there was the big wall aquarium with lots of fish and even scuba divers would swim by once in awhile, But we did not like the food at all and it was expensive!

We ate at the Rsoe & Crown in Epcot and Mamma Melrose in MGM. Really liked Mamma melrose although it is more expensive than counter service.

Rose and Crown was good food but service was sometimes confusing.

Try getting the Fantsmic Dinner package, it is a good deal if you plan on seeing the show. You get reserved seating for Fantsimic for the price of diner. Must be booked in advance.

We also at at Hollywood& Vine (MGM) it was good if you like buffet...which we do.

We ate at Prime Time 50's at MGM for lunch and really enjoyed it. DH had a Poor Boy sandwich (clam strips on a bun), I had the chicken pie - it was huge, the kids had chicken fingers. We all shared a banana split for dessert. We spent around $55 US here. Lots of good food, fun and we thought it was reasonably priced.

At Epcot we ate at Teppanyaki in Japan. It was expensive, but worth it. We spent $145 US here. I had steak and lobster, my DH had shrimp, scallops and lobster, DS 9 had the kids shrimp, DD 6 had the chicken. DH and I each had 1 fancy drink. We didn't have any appetizers or desserts. We absolutely loved this restaurant and although we like to try new places, we had such a great experience here that we will definitely make a PS here on our next trip.

It is almost a tradition that we eat there now. They are great with the kids and rig the chopsticks so they can use them too. and the food is great!

Fish and chips at the Rose & Crown!!! It was great.

We've eaten at, and recommend:

* 50's Prime Time (ask for Cousin Manny or Cousin Hassan)
* Hollywood & Vine
* Brown Derby at MGM (try for the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg)
* Le Cellier
* Alfredos
* Bistro De Paris

We DONT recommend Sci-fi dine-in @ MGM. :crazy2:

In Epcot, Le Cellier makes a very good choice if you're treating yourself. For a more budget conscious meal, we like the Matsunomo Lounge in Japan. The best part is that you don't need a PS for it, and their sushi is good.

We don't tend to eat a lot in MGM, or when we do, it's counter service. The counter service fare tends to be not bad, and not badly priced, although you need to beware the huge portions.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

We like Restaurant Marakesh in Morrocco, Epcot. The food, atmosphere, service, quiet , entertainment, and prices. The food is so good, I bought their cookbook. We usually have lunch there, and supper at a counter place. We also like Le Cellier. At MGM, there really isn't anything to write home about. We enjoy Prime Time, but a lot depends on your server. Last time there, we picked up a couple of salads take out on the way to Fantasmic, and ate while we waited. That was fine too.
