Hello,

I am planning an adult night out. I have reservations for Cirque Du Soleil for 6:00 pm on a Friday night and would like to have a nice sit down dinner after the show.

I was planning on Portobello's Yacht Club, but have read many mixed reviews about the food. I then checked on Fulton's Crab House, but have read many things about the food not worth it, about being noisy and just a poor choice?

I'm looking for advice from those that have been there or looking for suggestions of other good places to sit down and eat. Would prefer to take advantage of not having the kids for an evening, so Planet Hollywood and some of those places are out.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Dennis

how about house of blues? or rainforest cafe? we ate dinner first and then stopped for dessert afterwards. keep in mind 7:30 is when the performance will be over and by the time you walk to one of the restaurants it will be closer to 8 or 8:15, prime time to dine at wdw!! just something to consider. have a great night out; cirque is fabulous!!

Have you considered Bongos? Its very close to the Cirque "tent", and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Just a suggestion...

Just wanted to give Portobello Yacht Club a big thumbs up! We LOVE this place, and have never had a disappointing experience there. We also love House of Blues & this is a perfect choice after a Cirque show. It does get VERY loud, however, so PYC might still be the better choice for you. Can't help you out with Fulton's, though - neither one of us eats any seafood, so we always skip this one! What about Wolfgang Puck's, though? It usually gets good reviews here on the boards....

If you are in the mood for a fancier, more expensive restaurant I would recommend either Portobello or Fultons. I have had excellent meals in both and enjoy both very much. I will be eating at Fultons next week matter of fact!!! Yahoo! :Pinkbounc

I'll give a vote for Wolfgang Puck's. Good food, good service. They are conveniently located near Cirque du Soleil.

I'd also recommend Wolfgang Pucks. We ate there last night before Cirque and my mom and I both loved it. My dad had a few issues, but he can have strange criticisms. *g* (I had the same pasta in my dish as he had in his, and I thought it was terrific... he just gets weird if things aren't as he expects them)

And where else can you have a sushi appetizer and a pasta main course? :D

Having eaten at both Fultons and Portobello multiple times each, I'd definately opt for Portobello. I think the fod is quite good, as is the service.
