staying contemporary looking for something thats decent for our epcot morning for a decent breakfast something possibly in epcot or along the monorail loop?

Depends on what you mean by "decent." At Epcot there is Garden Grill and Akershus which are both character meals and are heartier breakfasts. Sunshine seasons in The Land Pavilion has breakfast options too. We really like having breakfast at Les Halles in France - they have yummy pastries, breads, and sandwiches.

There's a character breakfast on the Boardwalk as well, which you could potentially do PPO. It's the Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno. I haven't personally been but I've heard good review of it! You meet Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel, and Eric.

The Wave at the Contemporary gets consistently good reviews. The quick service restaurants at all the monorail resorts are pretty good, and there's always Kona Cafe at the Poly or the Grand Floridian Cafe at... wait for it... the Grand Floridian =)

I really liked the jambon beurre sandwich at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie and enjoyed the breakfast platter at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

As PP's have mentioned, The Wave in CR is excellent. For convenience sake, I would either do that or do something in EP (otherwise you will be riding the monorail around twice to, eventually, get to TTC for the EP monorail). If you are looking for TS, consider Garden Grill in EP (though I prefer the food at the Wave) or QS at Sunshine Seasons. You could also take a boat from CR to WL and have breakfast at Whispering Canyon and then take a bus to EP from there. Or take the boat to Ft. W and have breakfast at Trail's End and have breakfast, then take the bus. Just know, typically WL and Ft. W share an EP bus so not as convenient as simply eating at CR or EP and utilizing the monorail.

The best breakfast buffet of any Disney restaurant is at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. The food and characters are superlative at this meal.

But the best breakfast buffet on property (foodwise) is at Fresh Mediterranean at the Dolphin.

We enjoy Garden Grill character breakfast but I wouldn't call it a 'decent' breakfast, 1900 Park Fare has a more substantial breakfast, which we also enjoy but you don't mention wanting to meet characters. We've read lots of good reviews about The Wave breakfast buffet at your resort so have made a booking for December to try it. Sometimes what you are looking for can be right on your doorstep :-)

In the MK area our favorite breakfasts are a boat ride away at either WCC at WL or Trail's End Buffet at FW. In the Epcot area Cape May Cafe.

We consider the two best breakfast values at WDW are:
. . . The Wave at Contemporary
. . . Trails End at Fort Wilderness

The Wave! Right inside your resort, love the food, buffet and menu, nice and relaxing atmosphere, I've always had really nice service. Honestly if I stayed at the Contemporary I would eat breakfast at the Wave every single day. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Another vote for the Wave, we loved it and it'll be so convenient for you. If you aren't looking for a TS then I say head to France when you get to Epcot. It'll take a little time since you'll enter Epcot in FW but the walk will be worth it!

I usually prefer smaller breakfasts, so my Epcot go-to is Les Halles in the France pavilion (and now I want the croissant jambon fromage).

My favorite in Epcot Resort area is in the Swan at Garden Grove Rest. No direct way to get there from the Contemporary and long walk from front of Epcot, so maybe bus to studios and boat over to 1st stop Swan/Dolphin, or Uber. After breakfast boat over to Epcot International Gateway entrance. Check out the menu and prices, a la carte or a fantastic breakfast buffet, character on meal weekends only, a must do every trip for us.

I know it isn't the most convenient but the food is very good, Les Halles is very good for quick service

We don't like huge breakfasts, so I would recommend Sunshine Seasons or Les Halles in Epcot, or the Contempo Cafe in CR or Captain Cooks in Poly.
