DS9 is picky about the chlorinated taste of DL ice water, but I am not willing to pay $3 for Dasani water based on pickiness :)
I told him he could buy a water bottle holder and carry his own water when we visit, but I have come up short finding one!
I want an over the shoulder holder that fits a disposable water bottle (as opposed to the larger aluminum bottles) that is well under $10.
TIA for any leads!

Walmart carries one (in the camping section) that is a rubber O ring attached to a caribener clip. I think it's a buck or two. If your son doesn't want to clip it to his pants, you could just clip it onto a lanyard.

Thank you both for the great ideas! Kids would love Disney themed and I hope I can find to make them--thanks for the link! And the idea to clip the plain bottle holder to a lanyard would work great--couldn't figure out how to use that type since my kids usually wear elastic waist shorts.

I know that you didn't ask "this" question - but my DD, who is in college and not fond of that town's water asked for some Brita water bottles for her birthday. (She already had a brita water pitcher for her fridge). But with her on-campus job this summer, she will be away from her room for too long to refill a regular water bottle form her pitcher.

On Amazon - they were only $9 each. Still doesn't solve how to carry them, though.

Look on amazon. Blue Wave insulated water bottle holders.

It's been a few years since we went to disney. We found some very similar to those at the souvinier (sp) shops outside of downtown disney. We always try to buy the ones with the bottles having a wider opening at the top, that way we could feel it with ice cubes and water. Was wonderful standing in long lines in the summer to have a cool drink.

ETA: I don't think the Blue Wave holders come with the bottles.

In Florida Wal-Marts, in the fishing section. I've never seen the really good ones sold anywhere else, so whenever we are near the beach, I buy a couple of them.

They normally cost about $8/ea, and they will hold any bottle from 16-32 oz. They are made of neoprene, and have a breakaway adjustable shoulder strap, a top toggle drawstring to hold the bottle in, and a zipper pocket that works nicely to hold a bottle opener or a fishing license -- or a fastpass. We've had them go missing in the past, mostly at camp, but we've never had one fall apart.

If you can't find those (they are NOT on Walmart's online site), these are probably a very good alternate choice, and they come in several colors, so you can tell which bottle belongs to which person. http://www.amazon.com/NEOSLING-Adjustable-Neoprene-Bottle-Holder/dp/B004VAARMG/ref=pd_sbs_sg_3

Neoprene is very worth it if the bottle is to be carried at all times, and especially if you prefer to freeze the water before heading to the parks. A neoprene holder keeps the bottle cold longer, and there will be no dripping if the bottle sweats.

We use glamourmouse.com. They have a lot of colors, and are on lanyards you can use for pins. We've ordered from them twice, and highly recommend them.

They used to sell water bottle straps themed to each park. They were a great, inexpensive, useful souvenir. Mine is from the Studios, and DH's is Epcot. We bought them at kiosks that sell water and cokes for under $5.

Maybe someone who has been more recently than me can tell you whether they're still available.
