A friend of mine has 5 kids. They have an opportunity to go to WDW for the first time in their life. After talking to her for a while it appears like they will have 9 full days dedicated to WDW in mid to late June.

I was thinking of the 6-day PHP with three plusses. Is this the most econoical? where to get them and for how much?

I appreciate your advice.

I called Paramount today. They informed me that they no longer give out character breakfast certs; they give out Disney Quest tickets.

VERY interesting!!! And an even BIGGER value for your money if you want to go to Disney Quest! But I am glad that we got the Breakfast Vouchers this past summer. My DDs would not have enjoyed DQ as much as they did breakfast with Goofy and Gang at the Beach Club! YUMMY! :)

For advanced purchases of passes, I don't think you can beat Disney for prices.
If that is not possible, then I would try pricing them at the various places that sell them. Like www.ticketmania.com

When shopping for your passes keep the following in mind:
  • The Disney website does not include tax or shipping in their prices. Tax is 6.5% and shipping is $3.00 for domestic standard shipping, free for pickup at willcall.
  • Ticketmania does include the tax in their prices and currently ships for free. Their prices were lower than Disney for PHPs.
  • Paramount does not list a 6-day PHP but that doesn't mean that can't get them for you. Call for prices. The DQ passes are a nice plus.
  • MapleLeaf includes the tax in their prices but charges for shipping ($4.35 per order for Priority mail; free if you pick them up in their Orlando office). They had the lowest published price I could find.

They are all reliable sources of tickets so whichever one your friend chooses to go with, she'll be fine.

That is amazing!!! I had always been under the impression that advance purchase from Disney was the best way to go.
Just did a quick check and Ticketmania sells for LESS than advance purchase. Only about 5.00 but five dollars is five dollars.
Thanks for the heads up.

Ticketmania can be even less if you subscribe to the free mousesavers.com e-mail newsletter.

Wow thanks guys this is really helpful for me! The DQ tickets totally sell me!

Thank You so much for the info. Maple Leaf looks great!

What's with the whole Alamo PHP thing?

Alamo is selling 3 day hoppers with one plus. give them a call.

Hi. I bought my park hopper passes from the Disney store because I also thought their prices couldnt be beaten....but, I ended up being charged 295.00 pp for the 6 day php passes instead of the quoted 277.00...why..??.....FL taxes!!! Do what I wish I would have done.....join the Hotwire Savings Club..they have a 30 day free trial membership right now. Their prices are 276.00 per person and they do not charge tax or shipping!! This is really your best bet!!!!

Good Luck!!!

is there a special link? I went to the hotwire site and didn't see the savings club. I may be blind... :)

Dear ChairborneRangr,

I have just finished doing some homework and ordering PHP tickets last week.
I found if you go to www.mousesavers.com ...then...use their link to... ticketmania.com, you will get an extra $10 or so discount.
I found this the cheapest way to go.
:sunny:

Good Luck !

How much are hoppers for 5 days without plus features through Hotwire? Is it worth joining? Has anyone had any experience with them? Is is easy to cancel once you receive your tickets?

Hotwire only sells PHPs. The cheapest way to get a 5day PH is thru Disney.

The value of the Hotwire Savings Club varies from one individual to the next. If you plan to purchase meal vouchers or other gift cards, then it might be worth joining.

Cancelling can involve a high-pressure sales pitch but if you stick to your guns, you'll be okay. Some people have had problems with the company continuing to bill their credit card after cancelling.

Hotwire is available for 30 days free right now...after the 30 days, if you decide to keep it, it is 7.99 per month. They arent high pressure about allowing you to cancel your membership. I have never had any problems with them at all. The 5 day PHP are 246.35 per adult and 197.47 per child. Disney store is cheaper for the regular park hopper passes without the plus option..but, make sure that you figure up the total with the 6.5% tax before you compare them. Hotwire does not charge the tax. It is most definately a better deal for the 6 day php and above.

Hope this helps a little...!
