Unfortunately, we don't have any of the stores listed above except for walmart! I am putting together the girls teachers gift. And one for their principle because she's been wonderful this year.

Yes, but a teacher probably tosses any homemade goods since you don't know what is in them etc. It would be a waste.

I would be very surprised if teachers just tossed homemade goods...probably depends on the teacher, though.

This recipe is fabulous-read the comments for good advice. I only do two layers. It's a little more work than just peppermint on top of melted chocolate, but insanely good. I always buy my chocolate at Trader Joes, if you're lucky to have one nearby; their baking chocolate is good quality and reasonably priced.

I'm a teacher and do not toss my homemade goodies. Of course, I've been at the same school for 26 years, so I pretty much kmow everyone. There are only a few instances where I would toss out homemade treats.

My recipe is very similar to this (I couldn't find the site I got mine from). I use chocolate chips and the white chocolate disks from AC Moore candy aisle. I don't use peppermint extract (it is minty enough, believe me). I melt the candies in the microwave just like in this recipe. I'm telling you, it is easy!

I am totally addicted to the Gharadelli (no idea if I spelled that right) individual Peppermint Bark Squares!! They are awesome!!!! Walmart has the cheapest bags around...about $5.50 a bag!
