My daughter's 6th birthday is coming up, and she needs new dresses for dress up and trips to Disneyland. I typically buy her special occasion dresses on sale instead of costumes. Costumes are just made so cheaply, and she doesn't have to have the ones with the little plastic face on them to pretend to be who she wants to be. I'd like them to be as economical as possible because I want to get her several. She recently outgrew all of her dress up dresses, and she had a hard time choosing something for Disneyland last weekend.

Anyway, I've seen some of the bridesmaids or flower girl dresses on ebay for 20 bucks or less. I hate buying on ebay, though, is there anywhere else to get something similar for a similar price? Something kind of like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Tag-Wed...id=100033&prg=9790&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=360918064961

EDIT: I bumped this up because I bought the dresses at Macy's, and I wanted to update. So, problem solved, and if anyone is looking for special occasion dresses, try Macy's! they were only 10 bucks, even though the tags said 20.

I was going to suggest ebay until I read your entire post. That is where I have gotten 2 of my daughter's dresses for Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique and an additional one for Akershus at Disney.

Only other place I can think of is flowergirldressforless.com. You can find a few things there for around $20. I have linked the page for the red tag clearance sale they are having now.

Try prettyflowergirl.com. We have gotten several from there and have always been happy with them.

major dept stores should have their Easter dresses reduced right now. Also if you have a Burlington Coat Factory they typically have dresses for good prices.

We got ours at littledressupshop.com, they aren't the typical princess dress-up dresses, since they are made to be comfortable but they are still pretty cute and inexpensive

I've gotten a four pack of princess dresses from here and was very pleased. My daughter loves them!

Try amazon.com -- we bought an amazing Belle dress from there and my niece has worn it for 2 years and plays dress up nearly everyday.

I was going to suggest them, too! Their dresses look so cute and I will be buying my nieces things from there in the future. Making me I wish I had a little girl to buy them for!

I ended up getting them at Macy's. They had special occasions dresses for $10 each, and I found 4 that I think she will really like in her size.

Ebay, Etsy... Sometimes you can get lucky and find them at Goodwill or other local Consignment shops like Once Upon A Child or Kid to Kid.

Chasing Fireflies and Everything but the Princess are typically expensive and high-end, but they also have great sales! Keep your eye out.

Also, you don't need too fancy of a dress. My daughter got an all white lace dress from Abercrombie Kids, we put her hair in a bun, added a cheap Pink Stone Disney Tiara, and Pink Converse. She was very comfy in the summer heat. She had on Nike Pro's under the dress.

I also like David's bridal. They have a few styles for little girls, but you can change the color combinations. I almost bought my daughter's 5th grade formal dress from there but then she found something at Nordstroms she liked.

When my girls were little we would hit the resale/thrift/consignment shops. We found all kinds of amazing stuff. Some things still with the tags on them. It is more of a hunt and somethings can be really disgusting. Though I think it depends on what kind of area you live in. We now live in a relatively poor rural area so the pickings are not so great around here. But when we lived in the city it was fantastic!!!
