Where to buy Disney stock?????

DH just told me that he would like to buy me one share of Disney stock, but wants the certificate that you can frame. Where do I send him to do this? I was soooo thrilled when he told me this! Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have any recommendations on how much would be appropriate to buy? My dad told me I should buy Disney stock and he told me I should buy 100 shares of it.. I said no way, that's almost half of my 18-year-old college student babysitting bank account, LOL. Does anyone know how much it may actually go up in the future and what would be the appropriate amount for a young person?

The answer is no, Amy, no one knows. I would tend to think, that Disney stock, held as a long term investment, (as most stock holdings should be held, unless you are the 'day-trader' type), will do fine. Again, over the long haul. As far as how much to buy, unless you are buying it for fun, because you like Disney, and would just like to own a little so you can say you own a bit of Disney, it should be part of a diversified mix of stock holdings, along with other asset categories.

If you are just looking to own a share of it, look above. That is a pretty good way to buy a 'fun stock'.

The way things have been going recently, I won't be the least bit surprised if you'll be able to buy Disney stock at the dollar store.

Just kidding (I hope). I purchased a single share a few years back and although the value of the share has dropped, it looks great hanging on the wall.
