Try to find a local store that sells Amish furniture. Great quality and solid wood.

I would suggest you check Amazon. We found exactly what we wanted during Covid at a reasonable price. Very satisfied.

I would think the closest Discount Furniture store would be the first place to look.

I've bought 4 beds in 7 years since moving into our home. Three from Haverty's (all white) and one from Ashley (upholestered). Another store is Rooms To Go. Rooms To Go and Ashley are the more reasonable stores in my area. Best to buy when there are big sales going on. Another posted mentioned an Amish Furniture store. I bought a very large farm table/chairs but it was very expensive. A friend of mine bought a bedroom set. All of it is beautiful, solid and made well but all very expensive.

An important question is your price point. Not sure what is available in your area, but I wouldn't buy anything without seeing the different price points. In our area you can buy a full bedroom set for $1500 (questionable how long it would last), or $7500 (lovely quality with all the bells and whistles). There are in-between sets that maybe don't have soft close drawers, or other upgrades that seem superior. What do you need and what can you live with?

I would look at local stores where you can see the quality of the construction and what type of wood was used. Something you buy online could be flimsy pressed board or other types of cheap construction that won't last very long. There are some things I buy online, but a bed isn't one of them.

Ikea. Hemnes storage bed. Solid wood. Looks timeless and will last a long time.
