Where to book Resies for Top of the world view ?

Hey all,

Ok, asking for some clarification.

We were going to stay at BLT for out next trip, but weren't sure about the room views, there is just too much variability. IF we are only splurging for one stay at BLT, I can't roll the dice on the room view.

BUT, we very much would like to check out MK (maybe even the fireworks) form the top of the world lounge/over look.

I have heard/read/inferred that it is possible to experience this if you book (or maybe just go for) drinks, food, etc. at the lounge/bar/restaurant in BLT up at the top.

Can someone please clear this up for me !?!?!?

Is it the California Grill I need to book at ... or what !??!?!

Heck, we would even be happy just to SEE MK from up there, not even see the fireworks, if we could grab a drink, or a drink and some food and head out on to the balcony ... it would be .... magical.

Just to clarify, Top of the World Lounge is a bar/lounge located on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower and is accessible only by Disney Vacation Club members and their guests. No reservation is needed. California Grill is a signature restaurant located on the top floor of the main tower of the original Contemporary Resort. If you want to dine there, reservations are highly recommended, but you can also tell the person at the desk that you want to visit the bar and if there is room, they will take you up without a reservation. Both offer stunning views of the fireworks at MK, but I prefer the view from Top of the World. Good luck and have a magical trip!

There are 2 spaces - 1 at the top of Bay Lake Tower, 1 at the top of the Contemporary.

At the top of Bay Lake Tower is the Top of the World bar / lounge. You can only access this space if you are a DVC member or a DVC member takes you up (doesn't matter if you are staying there or not). The views from up there are wonderful.

At the top of the Contemporary you have California Grill with its wonderful wonderful restaurant. Worth noting that there is a bar up there too, but it fills up quickly especially around Wishes time. No reservations are possible. The views are just as wonderful from up here as they are at Top of the World.
