Where to be seated?

We are going to the following sit down restaurants with a 7 year old and 2 year old this summer. Can anyone tell me the best place to be seated?

Chef Mickeys

Ohanas

Garden Grill

Tony's Tavern

Liberty Tree

Le Chefs de France

Brown Derby

Crystal Palace

We waited for a table outside at Tony's for Spectromagic, and it was worth waiting for! The manager chased anyone off who was not dining there. As far as CM, LTT, or CP, I don't think it really matters?? At least, we did not see a perferred spot.

At 'Ohana make sure to request a table in the main room so the kids can take part in the hula hoops and coconut races. On our first visit here we didn't know any better and ended up with a table on the opposite side of the restaurant, and while we could hear all the goings on, we felt pretty removed from the action.

We ate breakfast at Crystal Palace last fall, and we were seated by the windows in the front of the restaurant, it was really nice. We were able to look outside and see all kinds of MK while we ate, and it was before the park opened, so there weren't very many people around either.

The only other place that I had any opinion on was Chef Mickey's, the first night we were in a booth along the back wall near the buffet, and it felt like we were shoved in a corner. Later that week we went back and were seated in an area on the side and it was much better for us.

How do we avoid being put in that back corner?
First time we went we were put in the main room over by the windows
This past Oct I asked to be put in the main dining room but they put us over by the kitchen door, end of the buffet, in the corner - that happened to us twice now
Do they not know what the main dining room is? or did I not word it correctly?

just as in room or bldg requests a resort, a table request is just a request. If you have a PS [or ADR under the new system] you are promised the first available table after you check in at the podium. If you don't take that table they could [not probable but possible] tell you that you have to take it or loose your PS.
