Where to activate FITS passes?

Hi, we will be arriving on a Saturday afternoon. If weather is nice, I'd like to go to BB on the Sunday. Has anyone activated their FITS passes at a water park? If not, then I could stop by a park on Saturday evening and activate them. Im thinking maybe at Epcot, and then staying for illuminations. Does it matter where you activate tham? Do I just go up to any ticket window and do this? Do all members of our party (4 adults and 2 kids) need to be present?
Any thoughts would be appreaciated,

to epcot is where we activitated our in July. We did not go into the park and it was very convenient since we were staying at BCV. You can activiate them at any customer relations booth. This one was not busy at all. We had 4 of them and it did take about 20 minutes or so for them to complete all of them. Very easy to do. every one had to be present when we did it.
