We are visiting Disney in October and (I think) staying at BWV - our first time at a non-monorail resort. This seems like a foreign land to me, but I'm VERY excited about the new dining possibilities!! Where should eat in/near BWV and the Boardwalk area? It's me, DH, DS7 and DS5 (DS7 and DS5 are "relatively" well-behaved!) Looking for table service suggestions (primarily). Thanks!

We LOVE staying at an Epcot resort!! Mostly because of all the near-by dining options!

The restaurants at the Y&B Club are all good - The Captains Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse Cape May Cafe and Beaches & Cream. We haven't tried the choices on the other side of the boardwalk yet!

Don't forget that the World Showcase is a very short walk away and as long as you have park hoppers you could eat there every night! We usually book 4 or 5 out of 7 ADR's in the World Showcase!

You may miss the monorails easy access to MK but you definately won't starve! LOL

Hi,

You're going to love it. This is our first time staying at BWV but we stayed at BCV last yr. During the food and wine festival, it is such a convenient location.

Restaurants I would suggest

Boardwalk area

Cape May buffet - breakfast or dinner - breakfast has character

For a nice dinner, Yachtsman Steakhouse

But remember, you are just steps from World Showcase, so as long as your tickets allow, you can walk down to world showcase and eat. With food and wine, you could also just snack your way around world showcase.

The Swan and Dolphin restaurants are also close by. I havent' eaten at any of them yet but plan to.

Maybe we'll see you there. We'll be at Boardwalk Villas the first week of Oct.

Two "relatively" well-behaved boys would do very well in Kouzzina. It's got a lively atmosphere and really interesting cuisine. Similarly, Flying Fish would be good if you like seafood and want something a bit more upscale.

I admit that I am out of my depth answering this question as I do not have children of my own, nor have I ever gone to WDW with kids. I can't say that I would recommend my favorites in the area (Shula's and bluezoo) with 7 and 5 year-old boys. They may like a few places inside Epcot, too. I think that the Coral Reef could be a big hit at that age.

For a little cheaper meal try ESPN. They have alot of things kids like hot dogs hamburgs fries.

And they have TVs in the bathrooms. ESPN was one of our favorites over there. Yachtman's Steakhouse was excellent. We did not like the Cape May dinner buffet, but the character breakfast there is good (Donald, Minnie, Goofy). They also have a pizza place, but it is take out only. But, if you can grab an empty table on the boardwalk, eat pizza, your children are outside and can enjoy the free live entertainment shows there as well.

I liked ESPN when we were there last...food was good and my DH and BIL loved the sports on 10 different tvs around.
They also have video game area in the store attached so that kept the kids entertained while we waited.

But I would love to try the Kouzzinas!

Kouzzina is a great breakfast (never tried dinner but heard good things) and there is Espn club, flying fish, etc..that are on the boardwalk.

Another good thing to remember is that you are only a boat/walk to YC/BC, Swan and Dolphin, MGM, and Epcot!

Cape May is nice. Lots of seafood, and other choices.
Beaches in Cream for a good burger and ice cream.
