We will arrive on a Saturday afternoon - after being up since 5 am.
We are staying at the Dolphin (great 2007 AAA rate).

Our team:
DH - likes salads, nothing to heavy after driving and flying and visiting EPCOT all afternoon.
DW- picky eater, does not like sauces or dressing on her food.
DS teen- likes meat and potatoes, may eat some broccoli and carrots
DD tween - pasta girl and will do chicken and fruit

We have a DDE card (20% off WDW sit downs) and AAA (20% off at S/D eateries). We are also AP ticket holders :goodvibes

We would need a dinner around 6:30 PM.

What would you recommend for us ?

We have not stayed at an EPCOT resort since 2001. We have been at MK resorts. So we need some help :confused3

Thanks for any advice - The Pooh Crew

My first inclination would be to say Spoodles. The food is very good, atmosphere is nice and we have found the service to be excellent. From what you described they have something for everyone in your party (you can check out the menu either at wdwinfo or Deb's AllEars site). We had dinner there in December and really enjoyed it - it will be on our list for next year as well. It is also a very short walk to the Swolphin.

By the way - Spoodles also has a great breakfast and is another must-do for our family!

Have a great trip!

Cheers-

hi - check out this link: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

it gives you the menues for the restaurants in the hoels in that area: i.e. swan/dolphin; boardwalk; beach club; yacht club etc...

I would also suggest making a reservation for which ever restaurant you choose - 6:30 a prime dinner time and you may otherwise have to wait 40-45 minutes for a table to open up....good luck!!!

another vote for spoodles breakfast! what about big river grill for your first day? as recommended, check the menu to see if it fits your needs. enjoy!

Thanks for ALLEAR's menu web-site

What about...
Gulliver's at the Garden Grove - WDW Swan - Dinner
or
Palio - Swan - Dinner

Are either good ?

We ate at Palio's a couple of years ago (it.s been awhile) - it was delicious. I also remember one thing about it that I loved beyond the food - it was quiet and it wasn't crowded. After a long day - it would be just the ticket for my crowd.

We are doing Big River Grille in October, the bad part, they dont take ressies:(

Lots of good recommendations already, and I'll add one. If you want something a little more casual and laid back, with lots of good food and familiar choices, Picabu is very good. It is cafeteria style, but has GREAT food. The meatloaf is wonderful, as is the roasted chicken and the chicken pot pie. It is very information, rarely has a wait and everyone can find something there. Lots of other choices have table service (Spoodles or Palio) or characters (Gullivers Grill) but if you want something a step above fast food without any fuss Picabu is great.
