where should my sister stay?

I have reservations for a THV 10/31-11/7. It's my family plus my parents (9 total). My sister and her husband have decided to go the same week. They want to stay in a traditional room not a studio.

We want to hopefully change our reservations to stay somewhere we can be close to them. So where?

AKV - Kidani house is only villa's correct?
Jambo house has both villa's and rooms. If they got a room at Jambo and we were at Kidani they would be at least 1/2 mile away. right?
If we could get into BLT how far away would the traditional rooms be from us?

What about BCV, BWV, or VWL. These resorts are co-located. You won't be right next to each other, but you will be close.

Another possibility is that they could rent points from a member and they could also stay in the villas.

I have stayed at the Contemporary in both tower rooms and the south garden wing.

The walk from BLT to those rooms would be short--it would probably take you no more than 5 minutes to the tower rooms and 6 or 7 to the farthest ones in the garden wing.

They are right next door to each other. There are pictures that show the connecting bridge to give you an idea.

Personally, I LOVE the Contemporary and the ease back and forth to MK is something that I feel can not be beat--especially with young children!!!

First of all if they book a standard room at Jambo, you can make your reservation there if they have the availability. My understanding is that when you book the two bedroom (that sleeps nine) you are definitely booking in one of the two buildings and you will know on your reservation that you got Jambo. Thats what I was told, somebody please correct me if I am wrong!


The Contp hotel is not really far at all. In fact it as close as as any other resort that has villas other than the one in the same building (VWL< BCV< BWV) Good luck

An OKW studio has 2 queen beds, like a standard resort room, plus the kitchette. If the bed/sofa sleeper studio were the problem.

Are they expecting you to reserve their room for them on points? You won't be able to get a hotel room at your same location on points.

You'd only be in the same building with Jambo House. And Jambo House will sleep 9 in a two bedroom. It would be crowded, but doable.

No, they do not expect us to rent them a room. We just wanted to be close to them. We don't get to see them very often and my kids love to hang out with them.

When you have 5 kids you are used to being crowded!

I would rent at AKV, Jambo house. You can get the room that sleeps nine plus you would be close to your sister. If you wanted Sav view you could both request the same savanah and then you would be even closer. This way you get a 2 bedroom and she gets a reg hotel room like she wants.
