Just trying to figure out where my husband and I are supposed to sit. I now have the seating charts for the reception hall and have been thinking about it. This is what I am not sure of, do we sit with members of my family, members of my husbands family or friends who are coming that really don't know other people? By families I mean mostly brothers and sisters of me and my husband and some aunts and uncles, no grandparents. Any help would be appreciated! :confused3

At our wedding, I left it up to our parents who they sat with. My parents sat with friends, while my husband's parents sat with a combination of family and friends. His parents did the seating at their table out of obiligation, while my parents opted to sit with the people they would have the best time with. I think its up to you. But I'm sure Emily Post has the 'proper ettiqute' for this :) Congratulations to you and your DD!

I agree with Hmgolden! Sit where you are going to have the best time, although I am sure there is the "proper" way, who cares! Even though it is about your DD, I say sit where you can carry on like a crazy woman. =)

My mom and Step-dad sat with a combo of family and friends and my dad and step-mom sat with family. I agree with the others, sit where you will be most comfy and have the best time... Dont worry about anyone else.

Have fun
Jamie
