Where should I request at BLT or do I even need to?

I don't really have much preference other than maybe near laundry or elevator. I am ok with not being right next to either but don't want the proverbial lifelong walk to either. Is this a problem at BLT? Where are the laundry facilities there?

BLT really isn't that large of a resort IMO. We always get a 1 bedroom so I don't know where the laundry room is.

The laundry is on the first floor, close to the north elevators. But I agree that BLT isn't that big.

I would base location based on view you want within your room category. There is a BLT thread with photos that you may want to look at.

If you have other than standard view, the one thing you might want to request is high floor, since views are better from high floors. Walking is not a major issue because neither of the wings in the u-shaped are long.

we love the lake view. You can watch the electric boat parade at night from your balcony.

We have lake view. I think I'm going to not put a request in and just see what the luck of the draw does. I was concerned about a long walk to the room but based on what everyone's said, that's not a worry at this resort. Thanks!

Conceptually one way to look at the internal distances at BLT is by room size. The walk from one end of the C-shaped building all the way to the other end is the length of 14 2BRs. With two elevators, one not far from lobby on south wing and one not far from lobby on north wing, the walk from the nearest elevator to your room is never more than the length of four 2BRs.
