Where Should I Eat Lunch?

We are a group of 4 adults on the deluxe dining plan. We have all of our days planned for our upcoming trip, but we have one day where we can't come up with a place for lunch. We plan to be at the Animal Kingdom in the morning and then the Disney Studios in the afternoon with a pitstop at the Boardwalk in between. Dinner that night will be at the California Grill. Our original thought was to eat breakfast out that morning, but we would probably miss the rope drop at the Animal Kingdom. We already have lunch scheduled earlier in the week at Yak and Yeti. We have a couple of extra meal credit to burn. Where would you eat?

I would head from the AK to Epcot and eat at Teppon Edo. I love that place and with friends would be a great choice.

Maybe you could stick to your original plan and have a breakfast out, but have it at the Animal Kingdom's Tusker House for the character breakfast, an hour before rope drop. That way you could enjoy breakfast, and still be out in time for rope drop! It's always whimsical to dine with the characters. Donald and Daisy are there!

If you are against this, you could try 50s Prime Time or Sci-Fi for lunch at DHS, or you could try something on the Boardwalk that does not require an ADR, like ESPN Club or Big River Grille. Another option is Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club, across the lake from the Boardwalk. All three of these do not take ADRs but serve lunch.

I would schedule an early ressie (8-8:30) at Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House. That way you'll be inside the park before rope drop. When you finish eating, the safari is right there so you can just jump right on! :thumbsup2

I would do breakfast at last seating at Tusker House, then you're not worrying about missing the rope drop. Then I would eat nothing else to California Grill - the portions are huge.

Brown Derby in DHS has a great lunch menu.:thumbsup2

This would be counter service, but you don't have to use all your credits as TS to get a good value on deluxe...

what about the picnic lunch they are now offering at AK?

Wow! That's a busy day. AK then Boardwalk then DHS then California Grill.

I was going to suggest Yak & Yeti, but you said you were already eating there. Sci Fi lunch is a favorite with my family, but I know a lot of people post that they don't like it there.
