Where should 3 adults eat in DTD?

My husband and I are doing an adults only trip this weekend (we usually have a 5 and 3yo in tow). His cousin, who just moved out from Colorado and has never been to Down Town Disney, is meeting us for dinner Sat night. Where should we go and will it be too crowded to get table during normal dinner times w/out a ressie?

I'd like to try somewhere that we wouldn't normally go with kids but isn't too pricey (we are dining at Napa Rose the next night).

We enjoyed Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen...walked in with no ressie. Good food, moderately decent service.

Yup, we call it DTD too, no DDD here.

Ralph Brennan's is very very good, the service and the food are great. Rainforest Cafe is fun, I think we will go this trip, we have skipped it our last few times. There is also the ESPN Zone, Uva, Catal, Naples had good pizza when we went but it seems to be hit or miss as others have not liked it, GCH has Storyteller's Cafe, good food there and the DLH has Goofy's Kitchen which is a buffet.

Right now I'm thinking Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, House of Blues or ESPN Zone.

I know my husband would like ESPN Zone, but I wanted to try something different. I've been to other House of Blues and have never been that impressed...so it sounds like Ralph Brennans might be a good pick!

We are doing the exact same thing (Napa Rose on Mon) and want something adult and yummy on Sun. since the kiddos won't be with us. We've narrowed it down to Jazz Kitchen (which we did 5 years ago and loved) and the Uva Bar (only if it isn't raining). We did the Uva Cafe (has less than 10 tables) in Oct because it was the only place that didn't have an hour wait on a Sat. night. I was really impressed with the food, but the only downside is it only serves beer and wine and we both plan on a cocktail or 3 since there will be no kids to watch. I also really like Tortilla Jo's but DH isn't a Mexican food nut like I am and the service has been inconsistent. Rainforrest Cafe is good but I'm afraid with all the families there I may start to feel guilty I didn't bring DDs during the holidays Good luck, I'm sure you'll be happy with anything you pick.

Looks like we are neighbors and have the same idea on a weekend getaway! We live/work in Granite Bay/Rocklin. I like Tortilla Joes too, but I'd like to try something too. Let's hope rain doesn't dampen our plans!

LOL Well we are all sort of neighbors, granted you guys are probably closer then I am but I'm up here too. And we will be there this weekend as well. OP & Heymy go to the Jazz Kitchen, you won't regret it and they have good mixed drinks too!

Oh my gosh, this is too funny. All the slack I've gotten from friends and family about going without the kids, I'd think we were the only ones with this kind of idea

We arrive Sunday morning and am hoping it'll be 2.5 days of short lines and anything but Fantasyland and HMH....don't get me wrong I love it, but DDs refused to do anything else for 4 days in October. I'm thinking non-stop Tower of Terror and Screamin CA And I have to figure out how to distract DH and not let him in the ESPN Zone for Monday Night Football...of all the nights for the 49ers to play!

I've been to Catal and the Jazz Kitchen in DTD. I thought the food at Jazz Kitchen was a lot better (the Bourbon Street Sampler was scrumptious and I loved their creme brulee sampler as well). Beware though, that place gets pretty packed so I would suggest making a PS if you go there.

There is also PCH Grill in the PPH as well. Apparently they have pretty good food. And if you decide against Jazz Kitchen for some reason, I really think Storytellers in the GCH is a nice place to eat for 3 adults. No characters at night, and they have a small dinner buffet during this time of year when it is busy, as well as delicious, scrumptious spaghetti and meat sauce (on the menu). It is a nice cozy place to eat on a cold December night.

Jazz Kitchen gets my vote. Ate there in October. We will be eating there again in Jan. DH has said it is a must do on any trip.
