Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

What a nice surprise to see another update this morning. Loved it! :flower3:

first, you got some really stellar pictures of adventureland. I honestly never take many pictures there, so its clear that I have been missing many photo ops.

At least Chelsea gets the back side of your head, not your @ss. That's why I started taking the camera away from Denny. :rotfl:

Connor's expression in that last pictures is priceless!

Keep your hands to yourself if you want to keep them = a new line for mother's everywhere. :lmao:

Watch out for those camels, they spit. ;)

I love Adventureland. Love, love, love it. Therefore, I love this post. And that you topped off the whole experience by getting fudge on the way out of the park. That's just perfection right there. :thumbsup2

I think Connor has the best facial expressions in his pictures. He always reminds me of my nieces in them. I think they'd be dangerous if they got together. :rotfl:

I really love that your family embraces the cheesy, silly aspects of Disney!

Crystal Palace looked so fun. It always looks so refreshing in there. I know it is a nice cool place to rest but I guess because it isn't dark like a lot of places it doesn't make me want to fall asleep. I just listened to Lou Mongello's Audioguide to Main Street and Adventureland and he talks about how the theming of Main Street transitions to Adventureland as you wrap around the building. I can't wait to investigate that myself.
Looks like you and the kids had a great time on your adventureland rides. I'm just going to say this:I really think Brazil should get the next Disney park not China. There are always so many Brazilians. Everyone I talk to--no matter the time of year--says the same thing. I think there must be a big market there.

Connor cracks me up with all his poses:rotfl: He is quite the actor!!

Love all your pics of Adventure Land. I wish I was there right now.

Tiki Room has a special place in my heart as that is the very first attraction we went to on our very first trip in 1999.

Breakfast is the only meal we haven't eaten at CP so I'm interested in trying that next time. Glad to hear it was yummy! Character meals are the only times my kiddos really like to pose with them as well. That means they are getting older, doesn't it? :(

Does it work well for Charles to just head out when he is getting cranky? My husband has never came on a trip with us but is contemplating it for October. I'm worried about the crankiness too. I'd love any advice Jackie!

Sorry the tour group was so loud. We had a few cheerleading groups like that on our last trip.

After reading your update, I think Adventureland is my favorite land at the MK. We love Cheesy too. I know a lot of people don't like the Tikki Room but we do. Love the corny jokes on Jungle Cruise and we have to ride Pirates at least twice each trip.

Sorry about the tour groups. It was best that Charles got out when he did.

Did Connor end up with any weapons by the end of the trip?

Connor continues to crack me up with his poses...he's a natural!

Ugh...the tour groups...can't believe the CM actually lost her cool!

I want that sign for my classroom too! :rotfl2:

That's awesome that the CM stepped up and said what so many of us have wanted to say over the years!! It's just not fair that a small group of people make a large group of people uncomfortable!

Great update Jackie! I love the foreshadowing - you can see Charles getting a little cranky! ;)
Do you know I have never gone to the Tiki Room? My daughters' dance studio did a number to the theme song a couple years ago for recital, but that's as close as I've come!
Keep your hands to yourself if you want to keep them = a new line for mother's everywhere. :lmao:

I will be using that line frequently!

Great updates. Thanks for including Iago's name. We have the 4 parks CD and Cayley always asks me what the rude birdie's name is and I could not remember!

You are going to convert Charles into a Disney lover yet! That story about the haircut was cute. He got a sticker! LOL I don't blame him for heading out after seeing the line. We haven't had to deal with tour groups on our last 2 trips, but I remember them from other trips. Tour groups are one of those Disney Nightmares! I hope you only got stuck behind them once on this trip. Oh, and the "Brave Adventurer" face? Too cute!

Fun Adventureland update!! I haven't run across any of those loud tour groups yet, and it sounds like I'm lucky!! That would drive me crazy & my DH even more crazy!!

I noticed the boarded up cemetery at HM too :sad1:
Ughhh those BTGs!!! I think I would have lost it in the queue for POTC if they were echoing like that:furious: Maybe that is what Connor was secretly looking for in the weapons....a way to quiet them ;)
Well....Charles lasted awhile....he must have needed a nap after his grooming :)
That summer Florida heat can be brutal so a nap or the pool is a nice respite :goodvibes

Tracy

Ahhhh Adventureland. How I love thee. The Tiki birds a favorite from my first trip ever. The Jungle Cruise, I love the corny jokes. I love when you get a great CM. I was lucky and got Richard the last time not once, but twice. The first time the whole boat was into it too, so it was great, the second time, same funny CM, but a boat of duds. Pirates, playing where's Johnny Depp is a great game. The treehouse has been skipped many times and if it is hot, no way am I making that trek. The flying carpets, the newest of the bunch and the spitting camel always good and not nearly the crowd of Dumbo.

Yes, I could see Charles getting cranky. Glad he could put himself in timeout before it got bad. :lmao:

Swimming time- no better way to spend a hot Florida summer afternoon.

I can't say as I blame Charles. WDW will never see me in the summer and if it did, with crowds and tour groups added in, I probably wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. ;)

I say good for that CM to tell them to hush it! :thumbsup2

I keep forgetting about the Enchanted Tiki Room. It's another attraction that I've never done.

Fudge from the Main Street Confectionary would be great for dessert right about now!

Gotta love singing tiki statues and a cruise through the jungle. I miss the Magic Kingdom :sad1:
