Where NOT To Eat???

everyone of these restaurants is listed with comments...I find it alot easier than getting into a debate with another diser about which is better...becomes mote and counter productive!

go here ! http://reviews.wdwinfo.com/index.php/category/360_Walt%20Disney%20World%20Restaurant%20Reviews

they have every review for every restaurant...

* Theme Park Table Service
* Theme Park Counter Service
* Resort Table Service
* Resort Counter Service
* Character Meals
* Downtown Disney Restaurants
* Reviews by Kevin Klose

I wouldn't call getting opinions from others on the DIS as mote and counter productive; the above site you referrenced is also reviews based on opinions of others. Even if it were a review by one critic, it is still the opinion of a human being. I once read a scathing review from a critic about Ohana and almost backed out of my ADR. I'm glad I chose to experience it for myself; we've been there 3 times and would never think of missing it when we are in WDW.

I say use the site you referrenced; I have in the past and it is useful. However, I take note of those on the DIS as well, and make my decisions from there. :)

reviews are great because they ...

1. have a rating or avearage - can't get that on the board
2. are list alphabetically - you can easily find what your looking for unlike typing in a search and going through a thread 100 miles deep
3. the reviews are idle and stay on topic - thats refreshing sometimes!

Chefs, Narcoossee's, and Cali Grill were the three best dinners of our trip last week, in each case great service and delicious food. Kona was one of our breakfasts and the Tonga Toast was good and the coffee was great! Maybe because I didn't order lobster at Narcoossee's (I had tripletail), but our meal there was nothing like the slop at Red Lobster.

2. Narcoosees – really going only for the Almond Crusted Cheesecake… really, really, really need to try that… (Maybe go for just drinks and dessert?)

Can I do this??? Do I then need an ADR? How does one make a ‘just drinks & dessert’ ADR, do you have to specify? … if I can do this, my list just shot up to 20!!! What fun!!! :goodvibes

P.S: Thanks All!!! The many, many opinions have given me an excuse to make another ‘food chart’… :)

I would get rid of Chefs De France. Our meal wasn't great and the service was even worse.:confused:

I would kick off:

Boma Breakfast
Kona Breakfast
Mama Melrose
Yak And Yeti

Unless any of those restaurants are must dos, then the other choices are much better if money is not really a problem.

You will still need a reservation/ADR for it, but yes, you can go for just drinks and dessert. There is no need to specify on your ADR that it's just for drinks and dessert.

You can go to the bar for drinks, no need for ADRs as far as I recall.

Skip: Mama M.
Chefs de France
Liberty TT
Personally and I know this is not a popular view at all but IMHO I would not go back to Cali Grill, we found the food fair, service poor, and the noise level was like eating in a cafeteria. Not what I am looking for at all in a TS dinner. :confused3

I'd cut Mama Melrose...we hated it and will never go back. The food was terrible.

I've never been to the Yachtsman, but I've read that it's not as good as Le Cellier. We love Le Cellier.

We love Liberty Tree. We used to go for dinner and now we go for lunch. The dinner is delicious, but I feel that it's nothing I can't make at home.

The Yachtsman is much better than LeCellier.

I would remove Mama Melrose, Liberty Tree, and Il Mulino.
Don't take off Kona for breakfast! It's wonderful! :)

From my experience I would cut:

California Grill- food was not what is was talked up to be and our server was way too "snooty" for our liking. It was so crowded we couldn't see the fireworks well. We used two TS for the meal which was not worth it to us, but I would not want to pay OOP for it.

Kona Cafe- I was so excited about the Tonga Toast, but it was not good to me. (sorry to all you Tonga Toast lovers!) My mom got the macadamia nut pancakes as same as before.. not that great)

Mama Melrose- just not good IMO.

We thought the Sci Fi Dine in theater at Hollywood Studios was horrible!!! Would not go back. That is probably the only place that was really bad for us.

Let me preface my anser by saying I love Italian food!!!:goodvibes

But I would avoid Mama Melroses, the meal we had was aweful

Also avoid Tony's in the MK and Tutu Italia in EP both were very lackluster and service was poor to boot.
