Can anyone please tell me the spot where this is filmed ?

Looks like a fab spot to get uninterupted views for videoing and a nice strong recording of the music too.

Is it near the station as I remember the start of the parade going around main street first ?

Also where is Santa - does he only make an appearance later on in the season ?

This looks outside of Belle Notte. It is a great spot as you do not have to queue up here for hours to book your spot.
Santa photo spot was at Mickey's spot beside Casey's Corner :goodvibes

Thanks reid.

That means that the parade finishes at Town Square this year - opposite route to last year.

A good head up for us that are going with planned spots :thumbsup2

Hello everyone...excuse my ignorance but having never been to DLP...does this mean that the best spot in near the Bella notte rest..I will be with my two DD (6 and 4) and...having them see the parade without having to be lifted would be great...my back would not take it !! Nor my DH's...

It is a great spot. This is us in the height of summer. Bet Main St wasn't this relaxed :goodvibes

It's a great spot, I filmed my Villain Parade video on that exact spot just about 8 days before that Christmas Parade video was filmed and can say it does depend the day I was there it was heaving with people trying to get in front of me etc, but I refused as ever, but it is still the best area to stand in, especially for filming etc.

Last year he was in Town Square in front of the bandstand but the tree's there this year.

Outside Bella Notte is a really good place to watch the parades, we have managed on numerous occassions to sit and eat while watching the parades - it is about the only place at DLP that dd will eat because she does not really like typical children's fast food but loves the pizza there.

Im certainly going to do my filmimng from that spot this Christmas but another fabulous place to stand and get a different, raised view of the parades in from the railings above the entrance in the railway station. We got the spot that Mickey uses to wave goodnight when the park closes and you were just about the same level as the top of the floats.

Try both - we are. LOL.

Great Tip Sarah. I'll be looking to see if it's free in Jan when we visit. I would feel like a VIP standing there. :thumbsup2

Hi Sarah,

The parade infact runs from Town Square to "it's a small world" just like last Christmas. I mentioned in the article with this video that was the first performance of 2006 back on Monday, whilst the full Christmas Season didn't begin till yesterday, so there was no Fantillusion this day and the parade ran its normal non-Fanti direction.

Santa only arrives when the full season begins, he is in the parade. :thumbsup2

It is a great spot to watch the parade, but perhaps not when it runs the opposite direction. Nothing beats watching the parade on Main Street with the snow, definitely worth sitting out in the cold for! :)

Dash,

I was hoping to get footage just like yours :guilty:

I agree the atmosphere on main street cannot be beaten but I never seem to get shots like those, despite having tried many spots.

Where is the best spot on main street then ?

we watched the villians parade from there last week.. its a great spot!

I agree :thumbsup2 we sat on carrier bags to keep our rears warm last year but it was all worth it once it started to snow! ;) :teeth:

Sarah, you'll just have to watch it twice!!! :wizard: :wizard: Once on Main Street and then by this spot. :thumbsup2

I've just read on the MagicForum, that Fantillusion is using its old route again - running from Main Street towards Fantasyland. So I wonder what that means for the Christmas Parade now?! :upsidedow I need answers!!! :teeth:

Ditto !!!!!

Hopefully someone visiting this week wil be able to help us.

Tom - I'd be interested to know why last year's switch round of the parades routes so unpopular. There seemed to be good reasoning behind it - lead people back into the park in the afternoon, and out of the park in the evening. But was it because it did not work so well technically, or was it more because it was a change in tradition?

So back to its original route.

Great, I can get the spot I hoped outside Belle Notte AND Main Street.

Hmmm, is there another spot that I MUST do. I need another excuse to watch it a third time. LOL
