We have reservations at Cape May Cafe for Bkfst in a few weeks and have never eaten there before. My sister says we can get there from the boat at HS. I've never heard of this before & I certainly don't want to be late. Where is this boat we have to get on to get there? TIA!

If you are getting off a bus, it's to the right of the entrance. It's on a waterway, you can't miss it. It runs DHS > Swan/Dolphin > Yacht Club/Beach Club > Boardwalk > Epcot. There is also a walkway if you want to walk. What time is your ADR?

ADR = Advanced Dining Reservation

You'll be good with 9:15am, the boat usually starts running around 7:30-8:00am.

A few questions. Where are you staying, and how are you getting to DHS to begin with? If you are staying on site, and taking a Disney bus to DHS, you could ask the driver how to get to YC/BC from DHS. He may offer to drop you off at YC/BC himself.
If you are driving, you could drive to your ADR, eat, and then drive back to DHS.
If you are taking a non-WDW resort bus to DHS, you can boat or walk. If you boat, just walk towards the canal. You will walk to the left of the canal where you will see the boat dock. If the boat is either there and boarding, or just coming into the dock, terrific. Get on and you will be at YC/BC in about 18 mins. If the boat is just leaving? You may be facing a wait of up to 20-25 mins! At that point, I would walk.
The walkway is on the other side of the canal...to the right. Follow the sidewalk, with the canal on your left and the parking lot on your right. You will come to a downward sloping section on your left. There should be signage there saying walkway to Boardwalk. Take this walkway. Walk all the way (15 mins or so) to the end...you will walk behind BW. Wen you get to the end, go left to the bridge, go right when you are on the bridge area and just keep walking. You will be at YC/BC in about 4 mins.
