Where is the Timon parking lot--tram?

We are staying at the Coast Anaheim in July. I have heard that it is possible to walk from there to the Timon parking lot and catch a DL tram into the DTD tram drop-off. Does anyone know what route I would take to catch this tram?

The parking lot in the bottom right corner is the Timon parking lot. Coast is probably a half block away or so.

Is that the same place I would catch the tram from the Hilton, and do you happen to know how far a walk it is?

There is a crosswalk to cross Katella directly across from the Convention Center main entrance sign (almost exactly halfway between Disneyland Dr and Harbor). This opening is I think the only way to get into the Timon lot from that side. This puts you in the far lower left side of the lot in the picture above. From there you have to walk a little way up to where the tram actually loads. I've done this before while staying at the Anabella, and it is the probably quickest way from that area to the main entrance. It also works going back to the hotel too!

Is this lot currently being used M-F? I was told in an earlier post that it usually is only open weekends during very busy periods but with the larger-than-expected crowd reports would hope to use this tram from the Alpine Inn (The bright white building near the parking booths in the lower center/right of the picture.)
