Where is the Path to Epcot from BCV?

We checked out the BCV on our last trip in April. I don't remember seeing a path to Epcot. We had to go into the beach club lobby and down past Atlantic Wear and then out some doors to get to the villas. Please tell me there is a quicker way to get to the International Gateway than to have to walk through the beach club lobby!

It's is a sidewalk that runs behind the building and exits to the walkway that runs along the beach. There is an iron gate where the sidewalk ends at the walkway.

Somewhere I thought I read that management was trying to "dis-encourage" folks from using this as a shortcut Anyone else remember this???

Next you need to learn the secret handshake for BCV members Then you have to go through inititation before you can gain access to the SBCVMS Hall.

Rich has been banned from learning the handshake for perpetuity.

There is a path that winds around the back of the resort and comes out to a gate that is located right before you would start over the "hill" that goes to the gateway. The walkway is paved and basically follows along the flow of the back side of the building. It might be easier to be coming from the International Gateway and look for the gate and see where it takes you. It will first walk you past Beach Club rooms and then you see BCV. When we were there, the rear entrances to BCV were not unlocked, so you would simply walk around the front of the BCV building to go in.

Sounds confusing I know, but we found the walk way on our first day there.

We unfortunaetly found thsi walkway on our last day when we stayed at BCV. really saves time, though!

Funny you should ask - we just went this way last night!
If you are going to Epcot from BCV, you need to go out the door at the villas like you are heading to the BC. Come out the doors and bear left - under the covered walkway, not striaght to the Solarium.
After a few steps, you will see that there is a walkway that goes left. Take that walkway. It will go all around the BC and eventually come out right on the main BW. Turn left and you are almost at Epcot!

I never figured it out on my last trip either. But now that you said "iron gate", I remember that gate. Might it be easier, the first time, coming back from the IG, to go thru the iron gate to see where it comes out? I could never find it from the Beach Club. Once I find it, do I get to learn the secret handshake?

LOL, we found this "secret" walkway quite by accident on our January trip this year. We wanted to walk around the villas to check them out. We found the secret path quite easily, and took it to get back to Epcot.

The gate has never been locked during any of our trips.
