Whenever we were at the fort the last time we stayed more lost than anything and I was wondering where is the closest McDonalds to the fort and how did you get there.
Did anyone make a fast food run from the fort that was close ? Hehe thanks :listen:

There's actually one on the way to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (I believe). We saw it several times from the busses. Most any CM; especially the bus drivers, could tell you which way to go.

There's one near animal kingdom, and definately one at downtown disney.

one of those mentioned might be the one that you can see from up top at blizzard beach??

Yep - the one just outside the All-Star Resorts.

McDonald's Locations:

1) On the main road leading to All-Star Resorts. (Has drive-thru)

2) Downtown Disney (No drive-thru)

3) Crossroads Shopping Center (Has drive thru)

My dh and I were talking last night and he said he didn't think the fort had any fast food places close by to run and get breakfast in the mornings. We just like something fast..aka... cheap.
I thought I remembered a McDonalds close by but everything seems far whenever you keep getting lost. :rolleyes1

Depending on what you call early the McD's at crossroads is 24/7 and is 6 miles from the 1600 loop and if you go the back way the traffic is nil at anytime except for the 1/2 down Hotel Plaza Blvd.

Terri-
It never really seams that "fast" for us either...but we did take a back way out of the Fort to the Crossroads area where McDonalds is. When you come out of the Fort you turn left (instead of going back toward the MK toll booth area). You pass Bonnet Drive and go until you reach Buena Vista Blvd. Turn right and that takes you down the side of Saratoga Springs. This helps you bypass most of the DTD traffic. Once you reach Hotel Plaza Blvd, take a left and you're about 1/2 mile from the Crossroads area.

We went "out" a couple of times to pick up McDonalds for the kids. Also, went to Macaroni Grill to pick up pasta one evening! :goodvibes

For me this is the back way:

Come out of the Fort and turn Left. You are on Vista Blvd. Stay on Vista Blvd. all the way past Bonnet Creek, and continue driving through the maintenance/warehouse area until you hit 535. Turn right and follow the road around to the 2nd stop light. You are by the Ale House. Turn right, and Crossroads is just 1/2 mile or so on the left. This seems much faster to get to Winn Dixie, or CiCi's Pizza (I know, but it is cheap eatin') etc., or even over to the outlet mall.
