Where is the best place to watch

Where is the best place to watch .... Where is a good place to watch Spectomagic Parade? How early do you have to get there to get a good place?

Also, is it a good place to see without getting too DH is going to be using a scooter this trip due to heart problems. I know they have sections for wheelchairs and such. But, I am looking for a spot that we both can see from.

We sat in Liberty Towne Square both times we watched. We found our spots about an hour before show time and didn't have a problem finding a spot. Although, the second time, there were some people who tried to "nudge" us out of our spots. We were there in May which isn't very busy, the whole day we didn't wait any longer than 15 min to ride anything.

Well, the Spectomagic parade starts at the beginning of MK, not in the back by Frontiertown, like the afternoon parade, so keep that in mind when finding a spot. I've been on mainstreet before, thought I had a great spot only to find that a tree is in my way or my kids way when sitting on my shoulders. I'm partial to finding a spot on main street, then you can stay for the fireworks, and you get the castle in the background. But it is crowded, so maybe not the best for you with the scooter. My DH hates to be waiting for the crowd at the end of the fireworks. But maybe you would be better off if you waited until the crowd dissapates a bit.

The special needs viewing areas are wonderful. Dont fight the crowds, just head for the special areas that you can enjoy.

We just got back from WDW and watched it from the hub by Mickey & Walt statue. They had a place for wheelchairs roped off on the side of the hub by tomorrowland. The parade comes right past you because it comes to the right of the hub to in front of the castle.

We sat right at the front in front of the castle on the curb. We probably got there 1/2 hour before the parade started. It was great!! I got pictures of each float as they came down main street. Of course, we went in October and wasn't really crowed.
