Where is the BEST breakfast buffet is WDW?

Thanks for all the great feedback! We did Donald's Safari on the last trip but our boys (9 and 12) have announced they don't want a charatcer breakfast this trip. I just booked an ADR for BOMA thanks to all of you!:goodvibes

The best one we have been to is Cape May. The food was really good. We tried Chef Mickeys a few years ago, and it was pretty blah.

Another vote for Boma. It's our traditional last meal. We stuff ourselves at the breakfast buffet at Boma before heading to the airport. With airlines nowadays, who knows when we'll get to eat again!

We loved the family style breakfast at Ohana. The food was excellent and the characters so much fun. For a more traditional buffet, we like both Chef Mickey's and Crystal palace.

My vote is for The Crystal Palace. There was such a large selection of food! We did Donald's Breakfast back when it was at Restaurantosaurus (sp?) and it was good, too. Probably the same food they have at Tusker House now. Never ate at Boma and probably won't. I kinda like traditional food for breakfast.

I vote for Tusker House, really good food and good charachter interaction

We are trying Boma for breakfast for the first time in July. I am so excited - especially because of all the great responses on this thread!

My family and I really love Cape May Cafe for breakfast!

But Boma has been on my list for a while now.... Cannot wait.

I'm not a big breakfast person, but I did like Boma.

We did Cape May on the day we were leaving as last minute in Jan. 09 and did not like it very well. Sure the characters were great, but the food was average at best. For the price it would have been nice having an omlet station. I personally didn't find the buffet table to be any better than what I would find at a Golden Corral.

1900 park fare- made to order omletes
then Donalds /Tusker house
Crystal palace

Other then CRT, and CM which I liked the characters, but the food wasnt anything special (but I kinda already knew that going in), we've done WCC and Boma. WCC was good, but I REALLY liked Boma. Sounds like I may have to try a couple of the other places. I disliked crystal palace for dinner, but I may have to try them for breakfast.

Crystal Palace was great with character experience and the food was awsome too. DH is a little picky about his breakfast food but her really enjoyed it too. The Pooh toast is the best stuff ever too!!! DD's nor I could get enough of it.

My vote is Tusker House....great food, and great character interaction. Plus I love the characters in their Safari outfits for the pics!

For me it's Cape May for sure.

The character interaction is fantastic and the food and service are great. Also, you can plan it around an Epcot day so when you are done with breakfast you can casually walk over to Epcot through the International Gateway entrance.

1. *If* you want "different" food and don't care about characters, Boma.

2. *If* you want good character interaction and don't care about the food being pretty standard (top quality, fresh, hot, decent variety, but nothing you wouldn't find anywhere else), Cape May.

QFT! Although I had really bad heartburn after my Boma breakfast. I believe due to the press pot coffee. WAY stronger than my regular Dunkin' Donuts ;) Also, the casserole with corned beef, eggs, peppers and onions - :scared1: I used up all the tums in my pocket!!!

ok Ive said this before: Tusker House is my fave....

My son and I have eaten breakfast at:

Chef Mickeys
Cape May
Crystal Palace
Akershus
1900 Park
ohanas

And they are all good bfasts spots...but Tusker was just better...better flavors/choices for food...and the charactresr looks so cute in their safaris outfits and they parade around with your kids and its fun...
