Where is parking at terminal?

Could someone tell me where is the parking lot at the terminal? When we went on the cruise in '98 it was in front of the terminal but it seems like I read somewhere it had been moved. Is that correct? Is it very far to walk? Thanks!

It's directly across the street from the terminal...very close.

As long as you're in a private vehicle and everyone in your vehicle is listed on the passenger list, yes, you can pull right up to the terminal. However, if you're in a commercial vehicle where the driver or somebody else in the vehicle is <i><b>not</b></i> on the passenger list, you will have to pull up to a drop-off point in the parking lot across the street. Even if that's the case, they'll take your luggage from there... you won't be expected to lug it across the street to the terminal.

Last month, cars were able to park in the lots near the terminal (if I'm reading your map right) but trucks, vans & SUVs had to park across the street. PT Cruisers also

Thanks Dave......your map was most helpful. I think when we went in '98 we must of parked at the lot you have marked closed. I know all we had to do was cross the street in front of the terminal and our car was there. What time does the lot open for parking? Would I be able to drop my husband off at the terminal, check in baggage and then go and park? When we return will they take our baggage (for a price $$) to that parking lot or do we have to pull up to the terminal? Thanks for all your help.

Yes, you can definitely drop your bags off at the curb and then park across the street. Then after the cruise porters are available to bring your bags back with you across the street to your car (and they do expect tips, just FYI).

If you parked acrosss the street before then that IS the same lot that is open now. In the past you could park in the lot that is directly by the curb, that is the one that is closed. It is a very short walk across the street to the parking lot that is open now.

The lot directly in front of the terminal was open for cars when we parked there 10/3. SUVS, trucks, etc were told to go park across the street in the parking lot where we had to park in Oct. 2001, and Jan. 2002. The lot was relatively empty--I parked just steps from the pedestrian walk-way.

Wow, that's new then, NCRedding, as in August they were still not allowing folks to park in that lot. Thanks for the update!
