I'm still trying to figure out how Wes could do such a good job of being such a smooth criminal, and then completely blow it in the limo on the way out. I mean, is anybody going to like him now? There would have been *tons* of stupid women who would have believed him (and bought his cd) if he had kept denying he had a girlfriend all the way out the door.
I mean, even the most deluded, in love with Wes watcher can't deny he's just a loathesome guy.
I did find it very interesting that Wes called Reid an *****, but didn't really have anything specifically bad to say about the other three.
I think that Kiptyn's not sustainable-I've so run into his type before I got married, it's all super attentive and fabulous, and then bit by bit he just sort of tucks back into himself, gets bored, and politely moves on. He's looking for a trophy wife that's more of a partner than a high maintenance girl, and he's not seeing Jillian as the girl he wants to continue his Kiptyn Empire on. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but he definitely has a Kiptyn-centered agenda that I don't think Jillian will ultimately qualify for.
The fact that every time they show the two of them together the "caution" tape from the hot tub is waving prominently in the foreground is a big giveaway from the producers, I think.
The question is, she's insisting on an engagement at the end of the show, and the three guys who are left are rightly petrified, which I think is a good thing-it shows caution and prudence. I think if she can't accept a commitment from one of the guys and instead runs to whichever one says he'll marry her, well, that says to me that the guys who wanted to wait were dead on in their assessment of her.
If she wanted a guaranteed proposal at the end of the show, then she really screwed up in her choices, all three of whom are rational, emotionally cautious men. I am happily married (for 16 years) to a rational, emotionally careful guy, and it was five years of dating before we were married!
Jake, breakdance Mike, and baseball Mike all would have proposed to her at the end, she just rejected them. So, I think if the finale ends without a proposal, it's because Jillian doesn't know what she wants, not that the guys were wrong not to propose.
