Where is my other shoe??

I am distraught!

Macy's/Burdine's had an awesome sale a while back....everything on clearance was another 50% off...DH was off in the men's dept while I was left with a double stroller with 2 kids to worm my way around the shoe dept.....I ended up with 3 pairs for under $30...one pair was a black strappy fancy heels with rhinestones across the toe...perfect for the holidays.


Last night I ended up pulling them out to wear to dinner and OH MY, my foot was a little squished! I had one 5 1/2 and one 6 1/2!!!! Now, I can wear them but if anyone is really looking - they could tell.....


I called the store and provided the sales clerk with her biggst laugh of the day and basically told me I was out of luck...

That happened to me once with a pair of boots. Guess who always checks both shoes now?

I have seen clerks check them, also. I know I have one foot which is a half size smaller than the other, so I assume other people make their own custom pairs; many stores check to make sure the shoes match. I buy for the larger foot, and put a heel insert in one, if need be.

The problem with the boots is that the "switch" was a larger size, and I only tried on the boot for my larger foot.
