To all of you DL regulars, I'm wondering where Maynard is working now. He only works holidays, Fri and Sat nights. He used to do Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room and Abe Lincoln (certain days in certain places). Not sure where he choose to work now that the 50th is under way. If anyone knows, can you PM me?

For those not in the loop, Maynard is the funniest CM our family has run into in a long time at DL and we look him up each time we visit the park. His humor on the Jungle Cruise had us in tears! :rotfl: I hear he's just a funny in the Tiki Room. If you do a google search for Disneyland Maynard you will find his homepage.

Thanks!

I haven't seen him myself -- my kids have, and think he's very very funny - they saw him at Honey I Shrunk the Audience -- I also heard he was hosting the 50th exhibit/show on Main Street.

You just gotta catch him wherever you find him.

Good to know. He was at the Lincoln exhibit during our last visit, but didn't know if he moved somewhere else whent he exhibit transformed for the 50th.

I read on another message board that he is working at the Opera House for the 50th anniversary film and exhibit.
Can't confirm if that is true as we saw the film on Sunday and didn't return on Memorial Day.

He may be back at the Opera House, I haven't heard for sure.

But the most recent citings have him doing crowd control for the fireworks show. Usually he's on Main Street. Before that, he was doing crowd control for Fantasmic. He may still be doing both.

If he is working Fantasmic, ask him to give you his version of the show. Oh my gosh! :rotfl2:

I have also heard he is now working ath the First 50 Years Exhibit from another board. If you're interested... link.

Saw Maynard 2 weeks ago. He said He's mainly traffic control during the weekend nights, but occationally they put him to Opera house still. during the 50th, He was all opera house which is how i met him.

He's also working at the San Diego Wild animal park in Escindido, CA udeing the weekdays as a costumed information guide.

If any of you see him, let him know that 'Mr. Friend' gives him a Hello. :)

We saw him at Honey I Shrunk The Audience on our last trip. Sounds like he may have moved onto a different area now, though.

I'll keep our eyes open for him next month! In fact, a month from today!!!!

He's busy with many other things too, as you can see. I think he is assigned to Main Street USA doing crowd control.

wow is that him????????????? Reminds me of the genie from pee wee's playhouse.

We found him!!! I was so excited to see a CM named Maynard working at the 50 years exhibit this past week. The place was empty and we spent some time with him. I asked him if he was by chance the same Maynard that used to work at the HM. He told me 'no, that was my evil twin brother'. He did several impresions and some commercials for the 3 little girls in our group. He was so funny! I talked to him about how he is an icon, legend, star all on his own. He was very surprised when I told him about the board and the interest in him. He told me that DL execs limited the workers to one land and that he had to give up some of the other areas he enjoyed working. He also told me that DL execs didn't want the CMs to do their own 'song and dance'. I encouraged him to do a search on the thread for his own name. Maybe he will reply to us. By the way...we saw him on a Thursday.:cool1:

I can confirm this Maynard sighting. Yesterday (Sunday, 5/25), he was greeting guests at the entrance to the Opera House, where they have the First 50 Years exhibit and film. I didn't linger to chat for long, but he was just as friendly as ever. :goodvibes

I am going to have to keep my eyes open for him!! I want to meet him too!

It's odd he acted surprised by his internet fan base, as almost everyone who meets him mentions that they read about him online, and he has a pretty thorough website himself! :goodvibes

Since I met him while he was working fireworks security, I'm sort of wondering if he'll be out doing the same thing tonight. Or I'll force the boys to see the 50 years movie. :cool2:
