where is Lightning McQueen

I amhelping a friend plan a trip to WDW in Nov. Her son wants to see Lightning McQueen. Is there a place to get a photo at HS? I can't seem to find it in any book or board.

I didn't see Lightening McQueen at DHS myself because we weren't looking for him. We stayed at AoA. But I had read that he was on the Streets of America. I don't know if that Lightening McQueen is interactive (I hadn't heard he was.) If your friend's son is a big Cars fan, I would suggest a few hours to go to Art of Animation and walk around the Cars section. He'll see all the Cars characters and get pictures with them.

He and Mater are out by the muppets theater at Hollywood Studios.

They added Lightning to the Lights! Motors! Action! stunt show but I am not sure about pictures??

Unless it's changed recently, he's there with Mater (at least as recently as August). It's noisy since the engine is on. He can't talk or interract, but certainly pictures can be taken with him (and a photo pass photographer is typically there as well).

When you exit the Muppet Show theatre, take a sharp right. If you don't turn enough then you'll be facing some of the Phineas and Ferb stuff. You have to go around to the right of the P&F merchandise and you'll see Lightening and Mater.

If you won't be going into Muppets then just head towards Mama Melrose, keep going past Phineas and Ferb past their merchandise and you'll find them.

As others have said, they don't talk or interact. They shake a little and make engine noises. There's a photopass photographer there to take pictures. That's it.
