From what I've seen Dsney is extremely photo friendly, but I am going to be getting my first camcorder before my next trip. I am staying at AKL and want to use it there, which I doubt will be a problem, but what places do they frown on you having a camcorder with you?

A lot of ppl take it onto rides like they poc, HM etc. You will only get told off if there is a bright light that will destract ppl. I don't know about other things. The CMs will make an annocement (sp?) if you are not allowed to use them

We used ours every where in the "World". My husband even shot footage on the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (a little dark, but it worked). You may want to invest in a camcorder waist pack or something to protect your valuable equipment from jars and bumps or water.

Disney is pretty lenient about videotaping. You can't tape in 3D movies, in the American Adventure.
I did videotape on Goofy's Barnstormer and on Primeval Whirl. (Of course, do so at your own risk! I had a woman tell me I was nuts.)

We've never had a problem with the camcorder - but common sense should prevail.

Flash photography is frowned upon on most rides and attractions if its distracting to others, or if the 'ride' has effects that will be 'lost' in the flash. A normal video camera should be fine almost anywhere.

Have fun with it, and remember to shoot with the sun behind your back!

Im a videotaping fanatic when in WDW. Off the top of my head, I know you are told you cannot tape in the Tower of Terror, Universe of Energy, and Cranium Command. I also remember being told no videotaping in the Carrousel of Progress, however others have reported being told, and even advised TO videotape there, so go figure. Ill try to think of more.
