Where is everyone?

I know this isn't one of the most active boards on the DIS but lately it is slow and not many new postings? I guess everyone is busy scrapping and cooking their heart out!

I know ! I've actually had to clean my house because it was so slow (lol ). Hubby is happy , but I miss the chatting.

I'm still here, lurking. I haven't had time to scrap a single page since July. It seems a lot of the posts have been about the secret sister swap and since I didn't join I feel kinda out-of-it. Can't really reply. Know what I mean?

bananiem that is so funny that you said that . I am not so new here But not sure how they work so I have not gotten involved in them seems like lots of work. you are right seems to me that has taken priority lately. I have not noticed that before.

AWWW Guys please don't feel left out if you aren't in the swaps! Believe me I didn't join in for a long time. They are fun!
But I like hearing about other peoples pages or great finds! New items to use in books....

me too that is why I go on this board. I feel like we are all friends.we all work together to share all our ideas. I know one day I will get in a swap. but I am just not in to it yet. But time change and I would never say never.

Back to School is CRAZY

I don't know why everyone can't wait to get their kids in school - I had more time when she was home!

Now it is up to drop her off, then back to pick her up , then drop her of at this activity, and drop her off at that!

OK , how can we get back to "scrappin and not just swappin" ? I'm going to try to come up with some stuff to ask or give info on. I challenge everyone to do the same. I know I did way to much shopping and not enough scrapbook pages in the last couple of months . And I have plenty of stuff to use ( although I could use some adhesive ). I thought life around here would calm down now that I have two in college ( not to mention the senior in high school ) , but they are busier than ever and between their stuff and church , and my womens group..... I'm pulling my hair out trying to keep up. Plus , the month of October is a busy birthday month for my family.

Can’t speak for anyone else but….. I’ve been on vacation. That takes a lot of time for me as I’m obsessive about planning. Hope everyone in Isabel’s path did OK. Our B &B didn’t lose power but we were good girls and stayed near our B & B for two days. Kinda cut into the vacation touring. So we didn’t contact anyone in the area. Sorry gals! ! And then I was at a conference for work. I’m just trying to catch-up. Well now I have all the vacation pictures back and I’ll be getting busy. The work conference was soooo exciting that I used the memo pads to write down idea’s for my vaca book!!! LOL

Ann, go ahead & post on the swap threads - just pretend you are like Beansmom & you can take credit for every package received . As for me, I have no idea who is in the swap this time round other than a few posts here & there, so I wouldn't have know if you were in the swap or not . Maybe next round you will join the swap - it really is fun.

We have 7 birthdays in our family in the month of September, plus back to school...EVERY Saturday is devoted to the Oklahoma Sooners football games this time of year...(We usually travel to the away games too)

A good friend of mine is paying me to make an album for her grandparent's 60th anniversary next weekend, so I've been busy with that, plus the regular stuff for my paper piecing business.

That said, I haven't scrapped a page in my own albums since May so I rarely have anything to post on the scrapbooking threads
but I do seem to be doing a lot more cooking this time of year, so I try to post on the recipe threads when I have some worthy information!

I plan on going to a big long crop in November and I hope things will settle down a little more me after that and I can get back to my own albums...

Another one here who is busy with school! I have volunteered to be a classroom mom for my son's Kindergarten, so that has been keeping me busy! I haven't scrapped in ages either! I need to start doing that again!! Hopefully I will have more time to join in...one of these days I am going to join a swap!! LOL

Have the kids bring pictures, and stuff to scrap for the teacher-it would make a great end of year gift...
