Where Is Everyone Staying Pre-Cruise?

Anyone planning a pre-cruise get togethers? I'm not lucky enough to be cruising but I am planning a trip to WDW for May 3rd-8th and I won 2 nights at the Swan or Dolphin from the Prizematron, so I'm pretty sure I'll be staying there...or maybe OKW, not 100% sure yet...but hoping to meet up with some pre-cruisers either way.

We're using points before and after. One night at VWL (our home resort) pre-cruise and 2 nights at BWV (our first stay there) after the cruise.

I think we have decided to just use points to stay at VWL if there is anything. We would have to stay in a studio, but this would allow us to use Magical Express. How are you getting to the cruise? I'm thinking we might hire a towncar.

i'm looking forward to trying out the Dolphin..
i've never stayed at the swan or dolphin - i just was looking at their website..
they look really nice...

so i'll give them a try....i may fall in love..

and since i never use morning EMH anymore and evening EMH is so user unfriendly, no reason for me to stay at a disney property...

You will! If nothing else, the beds and location can't be beat. But in case you are interested, I belive you can use EMH when staying there.

well the rate we're getting from DU for the dolphin makes it an offer i can't refuse....

otherwise i might have stayed at the yacht club with you....

We haven't thought that far yet. We'll either use Magical Express to and from the DVC stays and pay for Disney's bus transportation to and from the port or do two one-way car rentals (we've done that before and the cost was pretty reasonable).

I'm thinking we'll stay at the Radisson at the Port but our plans aren't firm yet.

DS would give his left arm to stay at the Nickelodeon Suite (GOD HELP ME!).

I just had to chime in on this. We stayed at the NICK kid suites a few years ago and DD had a BLAST!!! She didn't want to leave the hotel to go to Disney. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids under 10! We had so much fun.

We're going to meet up at the Poly, get dole whips, and watch Wishes from the beach. Times will be confirmed later...some of us had also thought about eating/drinking our way around the monorail resorts too...before the Wishes meet.

Pre-Cruise, we will also be at the Dolphin for one night and 4 nights post-cruise. We are hoping to attend a DIS meeting the night before the cruise.

we will be at the dolphin pre cruise for 2 nights- friday and saturday. I figured for that rate, might as well try it and check it off on my list as another resort down and tried.

Once we hear back from AskTracy, Shanan and I will be staying at the Dolphin May 8th and 9th too!
We're definately looking forward to staying there; such an awesome looking hotel, and the location is hard to beat!

Plus, how can I pass up watching Wishes from the Poly, while drinking a pineapple float with a bunch of Dis'ers/cruise buddies? ...I can't!
