Where is everyone parking these days?

Haven't cruised since Covid, so I'm playing a game of catch up stuff.

I recall the parking was expensive, and that many people were choosing to park off site and shuttle to the port. Is this still happening post-Covid? Looking for recommendations, thanks!

For PC, I think of the people who drive, most park at the terminal. My mom was paranoid about not having space so booked some off site parking space and shuttled in instead. She had driven to the port from their stay at Hilton Head, we had taken DCL transfers from the resort.

For convince we have always parked at Port Canaveral. We have been parking there since our first cruise back in 2001. Over the years we have done fourteen seven day Disney cruises and it has gotten a little more expensive however it has been worth it for us.

Back in February 2020 we did our first cruise on NCL out or Port Canaveral and parked in their garage.

I look at like this,
We pull up, give the porters our luggage, park the car, walk across the street and we are there, this is the beginning of our vacation with one less thing to have to do. Makes my life much easier.

Back in 2006 we did a family cruise out of Port Everglades. We rented a car in central Florida and drove to the port, dropped off my wife, my mom and the luggage at the port, my father and I drove the car to the Fort Lauderdale airport to drop it off and took the shuttle back to the port.

When we got back from the cruise we reversed the process.

In the end the only thing that matters is you have to do what works for you and your family.

I had my sister park off-site at Park Port Canaveral. Discount code (15% off) offered through website.

Parking at the Terminal is $17 + tax for each day (or part thereof). That means add 1 to number of nights in your cruise to determine price. Looks like off-site does the same.

But I have only parked at the port (and it’s been on solo cruises). It is definitely easier to walk off the ship and be at your car and on the road without waiting for shuttles.

The convenience of port parking is sweet.

I’m not bookending my $$$$ cruise by trying to save $20.

The ease of having porters walk and put my luggage in the car and driving away is worth the cost vs having to drag my bags on and off a shuttle that may or may not have been prompt to my car then drive away

Seriously it’s worth every penny not trying to save a few bucks
