Where is a wonderful place to go for 20th anniversary BESIDES WdW?

We may end up at WDW, but trying to think of alternatives. Our anniversary is in May, but may end up going somewhere in June or even in April. I am at the bottom of the list for vacation selection on my new job so I can't be picky about going on our actual anniversary. Also, son is graduating high school in May and probably have to foot the bill for a little trip for him post-graduation. Hubby and I would like to take anniversary trip - just the two of us. We live in SC and I am sure there are many places within driving distance. Any suggestions??

Since DH told me today that I have a two-track mind - WDW and procreational activities - I have no suggestions.

We are going to Hawaii!-it will be in conjuncition with a military exercise that my DH will be participating in and we will have younger DS (14) along since his brother will be graduated and going off to college-but it will be great anyway!

I'm not sure where in SC you live (I live in Easley), but Hilton Head or Charleston would be nice anniversary spots. Maybe a Bed & Breakfast or nice place near the ocean. Just a thought.

I would go to Charleston or Savannah. Or if you really want to drive for a while, how about New Orleans?

Well, you cant drive there, but how about Bermuda? Or maybe a cruise?

I'd go on a Disney Cruise. We did that for our anniversary one year and it was so special.

You may also want to consider Amelia Island, Florida. They have a Ritz Carlton up there and I believe several Bed and Breakfast Inns. Congratulations on your anniversary. DH and I will be celebrating our 20th on 4/5.

I'm with Catsrule....Sanibel Island is absoultely beautiful and very serene.

Try the Seaside Inn.....DH & my favorite place!

DH and I did a Disney Magic cruise for our 25th anniversary two years ago, it was very, very "magic"-al and we can hardly wait to go back!!!
